The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator, and capable of coordinating multiple priorities while ensuring specimen collection orders are assigned accurately and efficiently.\nPosition Summary\nThe Dispatcher is responsible for the efficient and accurate coordination and assignment of blood draws and other specimen collection orders to members of the Mobile Phlebotomy team. This position ensures that assignments are appropriately scheduled and distributed based on facility requirements, collection priorities, location, and operational needs.\nThe Dispatcher also supports communication between Mobile Phlebotomists, client facilities, couriers, billing, and other internal departments to help ensure timely specimen collection and laboratory service.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities\nAccurately and efficiently assign blood draws, swabs, and other specimen collection orders to Mobile Phlebotomy team members based on facility and operational needs.\nReview incoming collection requests and confirm that all orders are assigned correctly and in a timely manner.\nAccurately enter incoming orders and standing orders into the appropriate system.\nMonitor assignments and make necessary adjustments based on changes in workload, priority, staffing, or facility requirements.\nCommunicate clearly and professionally with Mobile Phlebotomists regarding assignments, scheduling updates, and changes.\nAssist the Billing Department with missing or incomplete information and follow up with clients as necessary.\nCoordinate and schedule courier pickups when needed to support timely specimen transportation.\nComplete all required documentation accurately and within the scheduled workload.\nMaintain accurate records of orders, assignments, communications, and other required information.\nCollaborate effectively with Mobile Phlebotomy, laboratory, billing, courier, and other internal teams to support daily operations.\nDemonstrate strong attention to detail and promptly address scheduling or order-related issues.\nMaintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling patient, client, and laboratory information.\nFollow supervisor instructions and perform other duties as assigned.\nSkills & Abilities\nProficiency in Phlebio and other Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Word.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong time-management and organizational skills.\nExceptional attention to detail and accuracy.\nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills.\nAbility to prioritize and coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.\nAbility to communicate and collaborate effectively with Mobile Phlebotomists, clients, couriers, and internal departments.\nDependable, professional, and adaptable to changing operational and facility needs.\nExperience\nThree to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.\nPrevious dispatching or scheduling experience within laboratory services, mobile phlebotomy, healthcare, or a related environment, preferred.\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent required.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nNone.\nWork Conditions\nPrimarily an office-based position requiring consecutive hours of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nRegular use of multiple monitors, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment.\nFrequent computer and data-entry work requiring repetitive use of hands and fingers for up to 100% of the workday.\nAbility to lift up to 10 pounds.\nAbility to manage multiple assignments and communications in a fast-paced work environment.\nBenefits\nCompetitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life, AD&D, Short and Long-Term Disability, PTO, 401K , and Direct Deposit.
