Infrastructure Engineer

Madison-Davis, LLC is recruiting for an unnamed specialty insurance organization. The Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer will strengthen security across its enterprise infrastructure, working hands-on with Microsoft Azure to design and implement security controls, infrastructure improvements, and security technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and enhance infrastructure and security capabilities across an Azure environment
• Engineer and improve security controls within cloud and enterprise infrastructure
• Contribute to infrastructure and security architecture while remaining hands-on with implementation
• Support security initiatives involving containerized infrastructure and modern security tooling
• Participate in the evaluation, rollout and ongoing improvement of security technologies
• Partner with infrastructure, architecture and security stakeholders on technical initiatives
• Help ensure security requirements are practical, supportable and integrated into the broader technology environment
• Maintain strong technical ownership throughout design, implementation and ongoing support

Skills

• Senior-level infrastructure or infrastructure-security engineering experience
• Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure experience
• Strong Azure security experience
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement technical security solutions
• Strong infrastructure engineering fundamentals
• Ability to contribute to architecture and design decisions while remaining technically hands-on
• Experience working collaboratively across infrastructure and security teams
• Kubernetes experience
• Zscaler experience
• Experience implementing or supporting enterprise data-security technologies
• Security architecture experience in addition to hands-on engineering
