Together, we go all the way for our customers, society and one another.\nThe Position\nCoordinate the delivery of air freight and less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments in accordance with customer delivery requirements. The role involves engaging approved transport providers while minimising storage costs and the risk of cargo loss or damage.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate the transportation of LCL and air freight imports and exports in Sydney and Brisbane, while providing backup support for Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.\nCheck and monitor the customs clearance status of all assigned shipments.\nCoordinate carrier payments and the release of delivery orders.\nManage cartage providers daily to ensure adherence to agreed service levels and KPIs.\nLiaise with internal departments to support effective shipment coordination and delivery.\nCommunicate with customers regarding agreed delivery requirements and provide timely shipment updates.\nMonitor and action Integrated Cargo System (ICS) and biosecurity holds, including arranging inspections when required.\nArrange timeslot bookings through nominated service providers.\nProvide operational coverage when team members are absent due to illness or leave.\nMaintain a strong customer-first focus in all activities and communications.\nIdentify the relevant control levels and responsibilities under Chain of Responsibility requirements within the workplace.\nCommunicate Chain of Responsibility requirements to relevant parties and responsible persons.\nDetermine and clarify the responsibilities of all relevant roles under the Chain of Responsibility framework.\nRegularly review Chain of Responsibility policies and procedures to ensure they remain current, accurate and relevant to operational activities.\nEnsure compliance with applicable Chain of Responsibility regulations.\nImplement and maintain workplace policies and procedures relating to Chain of Responsibility.\nMaintain complete and accurate Chain of Responsibility records.\nCollect and review information relevant to Chain of Responsibility requirements.\nAnalyse relevant records and information to identify potential risks, gaps or non-compliance.\nDevelop and report findings arising from the analysis of Chain of Responsibility records and information.\nJob Requirements\nPrevious experience in air freight import and export operations.\nPrevious experience in LCL import and export operations is advantageous.\nExperience with CargoWise One (CW1) is preferred.\nStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nEffective time-management, organisational and multitasking skills.\nAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.\nA strong customer-focused mindset.\nMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
