We bring together finance expertise, customer focus, process discipline and international collaboration to help simplify supply chains and keep global trade moving.\nThis is an opportunity to use your Polish accounting expertise while working in English with colleagues and stakeholders across our global organisation.\nThe opportunity\nAs an Associate Finance Controller, you will join our Accounting to Reporting team and take responsibility for end-to-end accounting activities for the entities within your scope.\nYou will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting month-end close activities.\nWorking in a multinational environment, you will collaborate with process owners, finance colleagues, auditors and stakeholders across different countries. Strong English communication skills are therefore important for success in this role.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nManaging end-to-end accounting activities for assigned entities.\nDelivering accurate and timely month-end financial close requirements.\nReviewing balance sheets and ensuring relevant accounts are properly substantiated.\nInvestigating discrepancies and coordinating appropriate corrective actions.\nSupporting financial statement analysis and reporting on operational results.\nEnsuring compliance with IFRS, Polish accounting requirements, statutory obligations and relevant financial controls.\nSupporting tax, audit and statutory reporting requirements within agreed deadlines.\nCoordinating with internal and external auditors.\nWorking with process owners to consolidate accounting and tax information.\nSupporting the RICC control framework and completing controls attestation.\nResponding promptly to finance-related enquiries and meeting agreed service levels.\nIdentifying process or performance gaps and working with stakeholders to deliver improvements.\nSupporting regional finance projects and other business requirements when required.\nWho we are looking for\nWe would like to hear from you if you have:\nAt least three years’ experience in accounting, preferably within a multinational organisation.\nEnd-to-end accounting and month-end close experience.\nKnowledge of Polish accounting requirements and IFRS.\nA degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.\nA recognised professional qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent, or an interest in working towards one.\nExperience using an ERP system, with SAP or S/4HANA experience particularly valuable.\nStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.\nFluent Polish and English language skills, both written and spoken.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.\nThe ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurately against demanding deadlines.\nA proactive, resourceful and collaborative approach.\nWhy join Maersk GSC?\nA career within Maersk GSC can grow in many directions.
