As a member of the Project Delivery Team at SCCT, the Electrical Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the delivery of the electrical package for terminal projects in Port Said, Egypt.\nWorking closely with the Project Manager, Project Controls Lead, HSSE Manager, contractors, consultants, terminal stakeholders and other package leads, the Electrical Lead provides technical leadership and site oversight across industrial power distribution, HV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, electrical installation, testing, energisation, commissioning and handover.\nThe role is responsible for ensuring electrical works are delivered safely and in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, technical requirements and operational objectives. The role will also manage contractors, vendors and technical interfaces with equipment, civil, automation, IT/OT, maintenance and operations.\nKey role:\nSafe & Successful Electrical Delivery\nEnsure safe, high-quality delivery of electrical package activities across design, procurement support, installation, testing, energisation, commissioning and handover. \nDrive effective site execution and compliance with project HSSE requirements, approved designs, specifications and applicable electrical standards. \nTechnical Leadership & Commissioning\nProvide technical leadership for HV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, protection and control systems and associated industrial electrical installations. \nLead technical reviews and coordinate FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, energisation, commissioning, defect resolution and operational acceptance. \nContractor, Interface & Operational Integration\nManage electrical contractors, EPC partners, OEMs, vendors and consultants to achieve project objectives. \nCoordinate electrical interfaces with terminal equipment, civil works, automation, IT/OT, maintenance and operations, supporting operational readiness and reliable handover. \nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES\nElectrical Package Delivery\nLead and coordinate delivery of the electrical package, including design coordination, technical reviews, site installation, testing, energisation, commissioning and handover. \nEnsure electrical systems are delivered in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, HSSE and operational requirements. \nMonitor package progress, risks, issues and changes, and drive corrective actions where delivery deviates from approved requirements. \nElectrical Engineering & Design Management\nReview electrical designs, calculations, single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, layouts, protection philosophies, cable schedules and technical submissions relevant to the project. \nProvide technical oversight for HV/LV systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, power distribution, protection systems, earthing and associated electrical infrastructure. \nChallenge contractor and consultant solutions to ensure they are safe, maintainable, constructible, fit for purpose and aligned with project requirements. \nInstallation, Site Execution & Quality\nLead day-to-day coordination and oversight of electrical installation works on site. \nEnsure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, specifications, permits and quality requirements. \nCoordinate site inspections, technical queries, non-conformities, punch lists and corrective actions through to closure. \nTesting, Energisation & Commissioning\nCoordinate and oversee FAT and SAT activities for electrical equipment and systems. \nLead readiness reviews for pre-commissioning, energisation and commissioning, including interfaces, permits, documentation, test records and safety prerequisites. \nEnsure defects and outstanding items are resolved and electrical systems are successfully accepted and handed over to operations and maintenance. \nContractor & Vendor Management\nAct as the primary day-to-day project representative for electrical contractors, OEMs, vendors, consultants and other suppliers within the package. \nMonitor contractor performance and delivery against technical, contractual, schedule, quality and HSSE commitments. \nSupport timely resolution of technical, commercial, contractual and delivery issues affecting the electrical package. \nInterface & Integration Management\nCoordinate interfaces between electrical infrastructure and equipment, civil works, automation, IT/OT, maintenance and terminal operations. \nEnsure electrical dependencies, assumptions and constraints are identified and managed early enough to protect overall project delivery. \nSupport integration of electrical infrastructure with container-handling equipment and terminal systems where applicable. \nSafety, Risk & Compliance\nPromote visible safety leadership and a strong electrical safety culture across contractors and site activities. \nEnsure appropriate controls are applied for high-risk electrical activities, isolation, energisation and commissioning. \nIdentify and manage electrical package risks, opportunities, changes and technical issues in coordination with the Project Manager, HSSE Manager and Project Controls Lead. \nProject Controls, Documentation & Handover\nSupport planning, forecasting, progress reporting, change management and risk management for the electrical package. \nEnsure electrical documentation is maintained and controlled throughout the project lifecycle, including drawings, calculations, test records, commissioning dossiers, equipment documentation and handover records. \nEnsure package deliverables and turnover documentation are complete for project close-out and operational handover. \nREPORTING AND SCOPE\nDirect Reporting: Project Manager \nFunctional collaboration: Project Execution PMO and relevant APM Terminals technical functions \nGeographical Scope: SCCT, Port Said, Egypt \nKEY RELATIONSHIPS\nCollaborate closely with the Project Manager, Project Controls Lead, HSSE Manager, Civil Package Lead, Equipment Package Lead, IT/OT and Automation leads, Business Integration Team, terminal stakeholders, maintenance and operations. \nMaintain effective working relationships with electrical contractors, EPC partners, OEMs, consultants, vendors and external technical stakeholders. \nAUTHORITY\nLead and coordinate electrical package activities within approved project objectives and delegated authority limits. \nReview and challenge electrical technical deliverables and recommend approval of submissions within the project governance framework. \nRequire corrective action where safety, quality, technical performance, schedule or compliance requirements are not being achieved. \nEscalate significant risks, delays, electrical safety concerns, technical issues, commercial impacts and interface conflicts to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders. \nCRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline. \nProven experience delivering large-scale industrial electrical projects in ports, terminals, heavy industry, major infrastructure, logistics facilities or comparable industrial environments. \nHands-on project experience covering electrical installation, site execution, testing, energisation, commissioning and operational handover. \nExperience managing contractors, vendors, consultants and/or EPC partners in a site-based project environment. \nTechnical Expertise\nStrong knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems and industrial power distribution. \nPractical exposure to FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, energisation and commissioning activities. \nAbility to review electrical engineering deliverables and manage technical interfaces across multidisciplinary project teams. \nWorking knowledge of project controls, risk management, change management and project reporting. \nLeadership & Professional Skills\nStrong contractor and stakeholder management capability, with confidence operating in a complex site environment. \nAbility to lead through influence and work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams. \nStrong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability with a clear commitment to safety, quality and successful project delivery. \nPREFERRED DIFFERENTIATORS\nExperience within ports or container terminals. \nExperience with container-handling equipment electrification and electrical interfaces to terminal equipment. \nKnowledge of automation and IT/OT interfaces relevant to industrial or terminal environments. \nExperience delivering electrical works in live or brownfield operational environments. \nProject management
