At Maersk, we take pride in hiring the best person for the job - irrespective of gender, age, nationality, or religious belief.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nRisk Management and Compliance\nImplement risk management processes, procedures and protocols on site.\nCompile and review site risk assessments and use the results to drive preventative and corrective measures.\nConduct risk assessments suited to the business environment and implement Risk Reduction Plans.\nEnsure Emergency Response Plans (ERP) are in place, reviewed and implemented\nKeep legal appointments up to date and keep safety registers and checklists current.\nCompile monthly risk reports to company standards.\nFatal-Risk and Operational Safety\nConduct Critical Task Analysis for all warehouse activities and assist to draft Safe Work Instructions to reduce task risk.\nDevelop, implement and continually improve the site Traffic Management Plan (TMP).\nInspect the workplace for machinery, plant, equipment, substances or processes that could cause injury.\nMonitor contractor compliance with active Permits to Work.\nIncident Management and Assurance\nInvestigate and review incidents and accidents in line with company policy.\nCapture non-conformances on the Fatal5 system. Make sure they are investigated and closed within the prescribed time.\nSystems and Standards\nMaintain an audit-ready filing system aligned to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001\nTraining and Engagement\nFacilitate HSE training and file training registers as evidence of competence.\nConduct daily toolbox meetings with site personnel.\nPerform site inductions for visitors and contractors.\nMinute and track actions from the monthly warehouse HSE meetings\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:\nSomeone with:\nNational Diploma in Safety, Environmental or Risk Management, or equivalent.\nSafety management certificate (SHEMTRAC, SAMTRAC, NEBOSH IGC or similar).\n2-4 years' full-time health and safety experience in warehousing and distribution, across multiple sites.\nPractical understanding of implementing and maintaining ISO 14001, 9001 and 45001.\nExtensive knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations.\nMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
