At Maersk, we take pride in hiring the best person for the job - irrespective of gender, age, nationality, or religious belief.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nInventory Management:\nOversee and manage daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. \nEnsure proper labelling, storage, and documentation of inventory items. \nMaintain accurate inventory records and reconcile inventory records with financial statements. \nConduct regular audits and stock counts, including Semi-Quarterly Financial wall-to-wall counts and daily cycle counts. \nIdentify and address inventory discrepancies, taking corrective action as necessary. \nImplement and maintain inventory management procedures and policies. \nDevelop and maintain effective inventory control procedures to ensure stock accuracy and availability. \nMonitor inventory levels and report back on out of stock and overstocking risks.\nAlways ensure strict FIFO management through regular audits\nManage batch control and obsolete stock within the warehouse.\nEnsure system to system alignment between WMS and customer ERP.\nOversee regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes. \nAnalyze inventory data and generate regular reports for management. \nWarehouse Operations:\nCoordinate with Warehouse management to ensure accurate receiving and dispatching. \nEnsure inventory is properly stored in designated locations based on size, weight, and fragility. \nMonitor and optimize storage space, consolidating inventory where necessary to free up space. \nConduct regular inspections of aisles for damaged stock, locations, and packaging issues. \nSystem Management:\nImplement and manage the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to streamline inventory processes. \nEnsure all personnel are trained and proficient in using the WMS. \nRegularly review and update WMS data to ensure accuracy. \nUtilize WMS to generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies. \nReporting and Analysis:\nGenerate and analyze inventory reports, including warehouse utilization reports and process improvement logs. \nCommunicate findings and recommendations to the Site Manager, the Customer and other relevant stakeholders. \nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management, such as stock accuracy, on-time delivery, and damage rates. \nCompliance and Safety:\nEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to inventory management. \nImplement and enforce health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) protocols within the warehouse. \nConduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards in inventory management. \nTeam Leadership:\nLead and mentor the inventory management team, including cycle counters and inventory control staff. \nConduct performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities. \nFoster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team. \nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR\nSomeone with:\n5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a multi-principal warehouse environment. \n Diploma in Supply Chain, Inventory, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.\nProven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software and advance Microsoft Excel skills\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail. \nExcellent organizational and leadership abilities. \nKnowledge of relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in inventory management. \nStrong communication and interpersonal skills. \nAdvantageous Skills:\nExperience with SAP, Oracle, or other advanced WMS platforms. \nFamiliarity with lean warehouse practices and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience in conducting a proper Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using the 5Why’s.\nMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
