Our extensive experience, connections, and deep expertise across different sectors, industries, and transportation modes, means we can be counted on for process excellence that will save time and money.\n#INDEED\nShift: First Shift\nHours: 6:00 pm - 4:30 am\nMonday - Friday\nPosition Summary:\nThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving conveyor systems and material handling equipment in a warehouse and distribution environment. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility equipment to ensure operational reliability and minimize downtime.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with conveyor systems and industrial equipment, can independently perform routine troubleshooting and repairs, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient operation. The Maintenance Mechanic works closely with Operations, and other Maintenance staff to support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nEquipment Maintenance & Repair\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and material handling equipment.\nDiagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, rollers, belts, chains, sprockets, motors, and gearboxes.\nAssist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.\nObserve equipment operation and identify potential mechanical failures or performance issues.\nRemove, repair, or replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.\nTest equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.\nAssist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment\nPreventive Maintenance\nPerform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.\nInspect equipment for wear, damage, misalignment, lubrication deficiencies, and other maintenance concerns.\nComplete lubrication, belt adjustments, component replacements, and routine maintenance activities.\nDocument maintenance findings and report equipment concerns to maintenance leadership.\nSupport efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.\nFacility & Equipment Support\nAssist with maintenance and repair of warehouse support equipment including dock equipment, fans, air compressors, and facility systems.\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance work areas, tools, and equipment.\nSupport emergency equipment repairs and operational uptime initiatives.\nDocumentation & Inventory\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.\nRecord labor hours, repairs completed, and parts used.\nAssist with identifying replacement parts and inventory requirements.\nCommunicate equipment issues and repair status to maintenance leadership.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all OSHA, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, PPE, and company safety requirements.\nReport hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.\nEnsure maintenance work is completed safely and according to established procedures.\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment.\nQualifications Required\n1-3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, facilities, or related maintenance experience.\nExperience working with conveyor systems:Working knowledge of:Bearings\nBelts and chains\nMotors and gearboxes\nRollers and conveyors\nBasic pneumatics and hydraulics\n\nAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.\nBasic computer skills and ability to document work electronically.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPreferred\nExperience in warehouse automation, distribution, or manufacturing environments.\nBasic electrical troubleshooting experience.\nCMMS experience (SAP, Maximo, Fiix, or similar systems).\nBilingual (English/Spanish).\nPhysical Requirements\nRegularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nStand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders for extended periods.\nWork in warehouse and industrial environments with varying temperatures.\nAbility to work overtime, weekends, and alternative shifts as business needs require.\nCompany Benefits:\nMedical\nDental\nVision\n401k + Company Match \nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nFlexible Work Schedules (when possible)\nAnd more!\n Pay Range:\n$29.00 - $32.00 hourly*\n*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position.
