The role drives safe, compliant, cost-effective, and efficient operations while fostering strong stakeholder relationships and a culture of continuous improvement.\nWe offer\nAt Maersk, we believe in the power of diversity, collaboration, and continuous learning and we work hard to ensure that the people in our organisation reflect and understand the customers we exist to serve.\nWith over 100,000 employees across 130 countries, we work together to shape the future of global trade and logistics.\nKey responsibilities\nPort & Vessel Operations\nLead and oversee port operations, vessel calls, and husbandry activities across Luzon.\n\nEnsure timely vessel berthing coordination, operational readiness, and efficient vessel turnaround.\n\nDirect the team in managing operational risks, resource planning, and issue resolution to maintain service reliability and operational excellence.\n\nEstablish and continuously improve operational processes, standards, and controls to ensure compliance with company, port, terminal, and regulatory requirements.\n\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with terminals, port authorities, government agencies, and operational service providers.\n\nLeadership & Team Development\nLead, coach, and develop a team of operations professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.\n\nDrive employee engagement, capability development, succession planning, and talent growth within the team.\n\nPromote accountability, professionalism, integrity, and ownership in day-to-day operations and decision-making.\n\nChampion continuous improvement and encourage a proactive, solution-oriented mindset across the function.\n\nReinforce Maersk values, company policies, and operational excellence standards.\n\nCargo Operations & Execution\nOversee cargo execution, including DG, OOG, and Reefer cargo, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.\n\nDrive process improvements, operational efficiency, container visibility, and service performance across ports and service providers.\n\nMonitor cargo-related risks and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.\n\nCost Management & Stakeholder Engagement\nDrive cost-conscious operations while maintaining service quality and compliance.\n\nReview operational costs, vendor performance, and service agreements to identify efficiency opportunities.\n\nFoster strong cross-functional collaboration and provide timely operational updates, recommendations, and escalation support.\n\nMaintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, external service providers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.\n\nWe’re looking for\nAround 5-8 years of experience in vessel operations, port or terminal operations, shipping agencies, ocean logistics, or related functions.\n\nProven experience leading teams and managing day-to-day operational activities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nStrong understanding of shipping, cargo operations, vessel husbandry, and operational compliance requirements.\n\nExperience working with port authorities, government agencies, terminals, and external service providers.\n\nStrong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational levels.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Filipino.\n\nAble to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple operational issues simultaneously.\n\nResults-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.\n\nDemonstrates a high level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct in all interactions and decision-making.\n\nComfortable operating in a dynamic environment and available for operational escalations when required.
