You will serve as the technical authority for the deployment of crane automation products, overseeing the implementation lifecycle from installation and commissioning through to integration, testing, go-live, and operational stabilisation. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.\nContribute to the deployment of advanced automation technologies within one of APM Terminals' flagship transformation programmes.\nCollaborate with global product, engineering, operations, and technology teams on complex automation initiatives.\nDevelop your expertise in operational technology, industrial automation, and large-scale terminal modernisation.\nWork in an international environment where technical innovation and continuous improvement are integral to project delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the end-to-end onsite deployment of large crane automation systems, including installation, commissioning, integration, testing, and go-live support.\nCoordinate the integration of crane automation products with terminal assets, operational systems, and third-party technologies.\nMonitor project progress, identify technical risks and issues, and provide recommendations to support successful project delivery.\nReview technical documentation, oversee supplier activities onsite, and ensure deployment activities meet project and quality standards.\nCollaborate with project managers, product managers, operations, and testing teams to align technical deliverables with operational requirements.\nDefine testing milestones, acceptance criteria, and participate in validation, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.\nDeliver technical knowledge transfer and capability building for terminal operators, maintenance teams, and deployment personnel.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nContinuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset-curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.\n Leadership expectation: We are looking for people who consistently puts customers first, leads by example with respect for people, delivers results with integrity, and drives continuous improvement by solving problems at the root, developing people, and raising standards every day.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering; automation-related qualifications are considered an advantage.\nProven experience in container terminal operations, port automation, and the deployment of industrial automation technologies within complex project environments.\nStrong technical knowledge of PLCs (Siemens S7-300/1200/1500), SCADA systems (WinCC, Ignition), motion control systems, industrial communication protocols, and technologies including TOS, ECS, OPC UA, APIs, middleware, 5G, and cybersecurity.\nExperience managing multidisciplinary technical deployments involving civil, mechanical, electrical, IT, and operational stakeholders.\nStrong problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and project delivery skills, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
