You will support managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle, helping to ensure a positive employee experience and the effective application of our people policies and processes.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment and building strong relationships with managers and employees.\nKey responsibilities\nAs a People Advisor, you will:\nProvide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and people-related matters.\nWork closely with warehouse and operational managers to understand their people needs and provide practical HR support.\nGuide managers on employee matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes.\nCoach and support managers to apply HR policies and processes fairly and consistently.\nManage HR queries, investigate options and collaborate with colleagues across the wider People Function to provide appropriate solutions.\nSupport key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance management, job moves and employee exits.\nSupport the delivery of annual people processes and activities.\nUse Workday and ServiceNow to manage HR processes, queries and employee information.\nGuide managers and employees in using HR systems and processes effectively.\nMaintain accurate and compliant employee records and HR documentation.\nSupport the consistent application of HR policies and procedures.\nContribute to a positive and engaging employee experience across the Doncaster site.\nAbout you\nWe are looking for an approachable, confident and people-focused HR professional with strong generalist HR knowledge and a practical approach to supporting managers and employees.\nExperience within a warehousing or logistics environment would be highly desirable, although we would also welcome candidates with experience in manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or other fast-paced operational environments.\nIdeally, you will have:\nPrevious experience as a People Advisor, HR Advisor or within a similar HR role.\nBroad generalist HR experience, with the confidence to advise managers across a range of people matters.\nExperience within a warehousing, logistics or operational environment would be highly desirable.\nGood working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.\nExperience interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures.\nStrong communication and relationship-building skills.\nThe confidence to coach and advise managers at different levels within the organisation.\nThe ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.\nA practical, solutions-focused approach with good judgement.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.\nExperience using Workday, ServiceNow or another HRIS would be advantageous.\nJoin us\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join Maersk’s new Doncaster operation and play an important role in supporting our managers and employees as the site develops.\nIf you are an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment, we would like to hear from you.\nJoin Maersk and help us create a positive employee experience at our new Doncaster site.\nMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
