You can be assured of a positive and diverse work environment where new ideas are always welcome!\nA great opportunity for a continued career path within the wider Procurement community in Maersk globally.\nWithin our own and the larger procurement team, you will enjoy support from colleagues and management who possess extensive experience in sourcing, cost management and the Maersk business.\nIn terms of personal development, this position polishes your ability to deliver results through internal and external stakeholders, which in this case are varied and complex through networking and interaction with Copenhagen as well as local/regional/global vendors.\nKey Responsibilities\nWhat this position involves:\nManaging complex procurement projects within landside transportation and equipment, maintenance & repair (EMR), depot, supply chain, warehouse, customs brokering and cold chain etc. within Great China Area, to ensure alignment between costs, commercial needs and operational execution. \nAccording to authority level, management and participation in negotiations and establishing of Service Level Agreements between Maersk Line’s operation and its suppliers. \nEngaging with the procurement stakeholders in the whole procurement community globally as needed. \nBeing accountable for integrating Contract Management frameworks to help ensure cost leadership, compliance and best in class supplier performance. \nPerforming supplier market analysis and organizing market intelligence for spend within specific sub-regions, and benchmarking Maersk cost competition and ensuring cost leadership. \nAn ability to solve complex challenges through analysis and based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes, while being aware of the impact of proposed solutions outside their own immediate area. \nResponsible for supplier relationship management, building strong relations with the vendors to drive value through the supply chain \nSome travel must be expected \nWho we are looking for\nWe are looking for a Procurement Manager responsible for procurement and contract management activities covering Great China, including Taiwan and Hongkong.\nEnsure that every dollar spent is spent professionally. This is achieved by reducing operating expenses and driving a saving mindset by applying procurement capabilities and tools. This is your opportunity to join and make a difference to Maersk’s integration strategy and growth over the coming years.\nThe person will be responsible for driving key procurement projects forward and will be an integral part of the team and its ability to deliver on our ambitious goals.\nIdeal candidate may have experience in below categories:\nAt least 3-5 years of experience in Logistics, specifically Warehousing, Cold Chain, Intermodal and Supply chain management \nAt least 3 years’ experience within Procurement is preferred \nA Degree in a Business/Supply Chain Management or a related field \nExperience in Inland Transportation related roles is a strong plus \nExperience within Warehousing, Distribution and Cold Chain would be an advantage. \nPerfect candidate has:\nStrong market knowledge\nStrong industry network\nContinuous improvement mindset\nAbility to reduce cost and optimize vendors’ performance - working within a total value mindset\nAbility to manage internal and external stakeholders efficiently\nA high amount of drive and energy\nGood interpersonal and negotiation skills\nLanguage skills: Proficient in English.
