This is an exciting opportunity to join our MPL Operations team as a project manager to execute best-in-class project logistics solutions and deliver exceptional service to our customers. You will be joining an international, fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and get exposure to complex, global logistics operations with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the end-to-end planning, coordination and execution of complex project cargo operations, ensuring compliance with project timelines, Budget and customer requirements. Scope includes containerized, heavy lift, oversized (OOG), industrial equipment and other specialized cargo shipments, across the Renewable energy, Industry and Defense sectors. The role primarily focuses on the Italian market with some punctual coverage of Central Europe and Adriatic countries.

• Deliver safe, efficient and high-quality project logistics solutions in line with customer requirements while ensuring compliance with internal processes (includes on-site supervision where required)
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipment documentation, proactively escalating operational issues and providing mitigating solutions
• Proactively report milestone and status update to customers, ensuring on-time and cost-efficient execution
• Daily close collaboration with customers, vendors, partners and internal stakeholders
• Responsible for compliant vendor creation as per global process. Source and procure according to Global Authority Matrix and framework set by the Procurement department. Evaluate vendor and subcontractor proposals to ensure best value and quality.
• Monitor and update operational systems and tools (CargoWise), with project information, from file creation to invoicing, driving operational KPIs performance against targets.
• Adherence to MPL Standard Billing Cycle and Job Costing Policy to ensure timely and accurate invoicing

• Identify opportunities to improve project profitability and contribute to process standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for

• 5+ years of experience and proven track record in project freight forwarding
• Deep understanding of global supply chains and strong expertise of the Italian project logistics market
• Good customers know how and vendors relationship with containerized and over-dimensioned cargo service providers
• Analytical and operational mindset together with financial acumen and project management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrixial environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and inter-personal skills in a multi-cultural environment
• Proactive, organised and team player with a solution-oriented approach and can-do attitude.
• Fluency in English and Italian (verbal and written)
• Willingness and ability to travel punctually as per project requirements
