This position is responsible for the effective and efficient operation of CNC Machines. The Machine operator installs raw material into the machines, and loads programs to produce quality parts on schedule within company guidelines. This is a new position with a wage range of $28.72/hr to $34.75/hr based on experience, the role will be on rotating shifts: morning, afternoon and nights.\nEssential Responsibilities\nReporting to the Production Supervisor the Machine Operator’s major activities and responsibilities include the following.\nLoad a variety of raw material and programs into the CNC machines\nEnsure proper tooling for part and program are present in the CNC machine\nRead blueprints, sketches, designs, operation sheets, and drawings\nStart and monitor machine throughout machining cycle\nPerform intervention as required to keep machine operating per production planning\nChecking of product dimensions periodically throughout machining process\nCommunicate knowledge across shifts of machining information\nPosition Requirements\n1-3 years’ experience as a CNC operator\nExperience running/maintaining/troubleshooting CNC Machines\nHigh attention to detail, strong mathematical aptitude\nMust be able to read, write and understand English, with the ability to accept and follow both verbal and written instructions\nPhysical fitness and dexterity to perform lifting, positioning and moving of parts\nStrong knowledge of health and safety policy and practices\nComputer literacy is also required to use our internal production system (training provided)\nAerospace industry experience considered an asset\nThe physical requirements of this job are average.
