This role collaborates closely with engineering, tooling, and production teams to ensure castings meet dimensional, metallurgical, and quality standards.\nCompensation: $ 65, 000 to $75,000 per year.\nVacancy Reason: Replacement Full-time Permanent\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport tooling design and revisions in collaboration with patternmakers and engineers.\nConduct process trials for new or modified castings, documenting results and recommending improvements.\nPerform dimensional inspections using CMM, calipers, gauges, and other measurement tools.\nAnalyze casting defects and assist in root-cause investigations.\nPrepare technical reports summarizing findings, test results, and corrective actions.\nMaintain process documentation including work instructions, development logs, and quality records.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, scrap reduction, and process stability.\nEducation Requirements:\nCollege diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Technician/Technologist or related field\nMinimum 2 years ’ experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or foundry operations\nExperience, Knowledge and Skills Required:\nStrong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality tools\nExperience in metal casting (sand casting preferred).\nProficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).\nExperience with Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, and basic defect analysis\nProficiency with MS Office or equivalent\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specifications\nStrong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills\nWorks independently with minimal supervision\nMaintains professionalism, accountability, and integrity\nComfortable in both office and plant-floor environments\nAble to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting\nSecurity Requirements:\nWe conduct a criminal Record Check on all new hires\nWe conduct a Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) Check on all new hires; must be able to give 3 references to help verify your identity\nWork Conditions:\nStandard hours: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.\nPotential for future afternoon-shift coverage based on business needs.\nCSA-approved footwear, safety glasses, ear protection, and other PPE required.\nMagellan Aerospace is committed to an inclusive working environment and equal opportunities for all.
