The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who thrives on continuous change and lifelong learning, and who sets and adjusts project priorities daily.\n\nEssential Responsibilities\nLead technical cross-functional teams to define facility and equipment project criteria.\nProduce AutoCAD layout options to ensure equipment functionality and maximize effective and efficient usage of floor space.\nDevelop engineering specifications for equipment acquisitions, perform facility renovations/construction, supply mechanical/electrical services, install foundations and obtain team approval prior to tender period.\nArrange equipment supplier meetings with consultants to permit experts from each group to transfer crucial design data, questions and requirements.\nCoordinate architectural and engineering activities during developmental phases from preliminary to final drawings for construction to ensure efficient and proper designs.\nLiaise with Purchasing and Suppliers to ensure that acquisitions lead times are appropriate and effectively priced and that tender questions are addressed in a timely manner.\nReview proposals technically to demonstrate specification compliance.\nCoordinate, supervise and manage contractor on-site activities.\n\nPosition Requirements\nPost-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized university.\nA minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience.\nExperience in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Access.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to deliver multiple tasks to set schedules with minimal supervision.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to think and solve problems efficiently and independently.\n\nWhy Magellan?\nCompetitive salary\nAttractive benefit package\nGenerous company pension plan\nExcellent career progression opportunities\nEmployee assistance plan\nOn-site parking, cafeteria and gym\nMagellan Aerospace is committed to an inclusive working environment and equal opportunities for all.
