We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, reliability, and performance across all production equipment within the machine shop. This position leads all maintenance activities with a strong focus on preventative and predictive maintenance, rapid response to equipment issues, and continuous improvement of machine reliability and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).\nThe Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team, manage maintenance planning and execution, coordinate outside service providers when required, and ensure equipment is available to support production requirements. This role is critical to maintaining production flow and reducing downtime in a high-mix, precision machining environment.\nThe Salary Range for this Position is $108,000 - $126,000\nPlease note: This is a fully on-site position requiring attendance five days per week at our Haverhill, Massachusetts plant.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nEquipment Reliability & Maintenance Planning\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs for all production equipment\nCreate and maintain maintenance schedules for all CNC machines, support equipment, and other shop machinery\nDrive improvements in equipment uptime, reliability, and OEE\nIdentify recurring equipment failures and lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts\nEstablish and maintain equipment maintenance standards, procedures, and documentation\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and history for all equipment\nMaintenance Execution:\nLead and prioritize daily maintenance activities to support production requirements\nAssign maintenance personnel to planned and unplanned maintenance work\nEnsure rapid response to machine downtime and equipment failures\nTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-related issues\nDetermine when outside contractors or OEM support are required and coordinate their activities\nSupport equipment installations, commissioning, upgrades, rebuilds, and relocation project\nTeam Leadership:\nSupervise, coach, and develop maintenance personnel\nSet clear priorities and expectations for the maintenance team\nEnsure the team is properly trained on equipment, troubleshooting, and safe work practices\nBuild a culture of urgency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department\nSpare Parts Management:\nManage spare parts inventory and MRO materials to ensure critical components are available when needed\nIdentify critical spare parts and establish minimum inventory levels\nEvaluate repair versus replacement decisions and recommend cost-effective solutions\nContinuous Improvement:\nTransition the department from reactive maintenance to a proactive, predictive maintenance approach\nDevelop and track key maintenance metrics including uptime, downtime, response time, MTBF, MTTR, and OEE\nLead projects to improve machine reliability, reduce downtime, and increase throughput\nWork closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support manufacturing goals\nPosition Requirements:\n5-10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment\nMinimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience\nStrong experience supporting CNC machine tools and precision machining equipment required\nExperience in a machine shop, aerospace, or other precision manufacturing environment strongly preferred\nExperience with preventative and predictive maintenance systems required\nStrong leadership and team development skills\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability\nAbility to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nAbility to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization\nResults-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and accountability\nStrong knowledge of CNC machine tools and related manufacturing equipment\nStrong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC/control systems\nExperience troubleshooting machine tool issues and coordinating OEM support\nExperience with CMMS systems preferred\nProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook\nMust be detail oriented and understand the importance of attention to detail.\nMust be able to walk through and stand on 130k square foot facility frequently\nMust be able to lift 50 lbs.\nMust be willing to learn new skills through company training opportunities and outside training programs.\nWhy Magellan?\nCompetitive salary\nAttractive benefits package\nGenerous Company 401K plan\nPositive work-life balance\nExcellent career progression opportunities\nEmployee Assistance Program\nMagellan Aerospace is committed to an inclusive working environment and equal opportunities for all.
