The successful applicant will gain experience through on-the-job training and by performing essential work duties for the Corporate Procurement Department based out of our Kitchener office. The successful hire will work 3 days a week on a 1-year contract out of our Kitchener office.\nHourly Rate: $35/hr to $45/hr\nVacancy Reason: Replacement\nEssential Responsibilities\nSupport the Corporate Procurement team by developing and maintaining templates and dashboards using data analysis and visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI or others.\nExplore new tools for continuous process improvement.\nAd hoc analysis to support corporate initiatives.\nSupport and or lead procurement projects associated with:Supplier sourcing\nSupplier Approval (Qualification and Questioners)\nsupplier sourcing optimization of risks and leverage\nPrice and supply negotiation\nService and supply contracts\nTransportation Management\n\nPlan and coordinate supplier qualification process, development, and execution of request for proposal (RFP) or request for quotation (RFQ), bid analysis, supplier selection, contract development, and negotiation.\nResearch and analyze competitive market and interviews vendors, support the search for the best price along with availability and quality of materials, equipment, property, or services that the company needs to function.\nIdentify and evaluate current and anticipated company requirements, conferring with requesting department.\nAnalyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material or service availability, and prepares market analysis reports.\nPrepare and sends RFQs or RFPs to select vendors.\nReview and evaluate bid quotations or proposals, using cost and price analysis techniques and checking that predetermined criteria has been met.\nDetermine short list of providers, presents list to requesting manager/department if necessary, and assists in selecting a provider.\nSupport the negotiating and drafting of contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.\nSupport the implementation of purchase contracts, following applicable company and government regulations.\nCoordinate the delivery of goods or services.\nFollow up with requesting manager or department to ensure the goods or services are of the quality expected, and notes whether the vendor should be used again.\nPosition Requirements\n1-5 years of relevant experience\nUniversity or College degree in relevant field (BBA, MBA, HBA) or APICS CPIM Certification\nExperience dealing with customs brokerage for imports and exports.\nSolid understanding of P2P (procure to pay), procurement best practices, and commercial terms\nStrong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills including MS Excel: Intermediate to advanced skill with Pivot Table, Micros, IF functions, Vlook up, name ranges etc. \nOrganizational skills to manage multiple concurrent priorities\nStrong communication skills, verbal and written\nAbility to build strong working relationships with diverse suppliers, service providers, and colleagues\nStrict attention to detail, ability to balance numerous tasks and meet tight deadlines\nFlexible to a changing environment\nAbility to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot problems that may arise.\nAbility to collect, analyze qualitative data\nMagellan Aerospace is committed to an inclusive working environment and equal opportunities for all.
