The ideal candidate is commercially minded, highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to balance strategic projects with day-to-day supplier management and urgent supply chain needs. You’re willing to be hands-on, in the weeds and comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done, whilst also able to flex to higher level strategy, too.\nThis role reports to our Operations Manager (whose role is focused on Procurement, Commercialization and Cost-Opt), and is ideally based in NYC, coming into the office 3 days a week. We are open to making this a remote role, for the right candidate - with travel required to NYC HQ and suppliers/co-mans a number of times per year.\nWhat You’ll Do\nExecute sourcing initiatives across raw materials and packaging, leading competitive bids, supplier evaluations, and pricing negotiations.\nManage supplier and co-manufacturer relationships, including contracts, performance tracking, and issue resolution.\nOversee procurement planning and material availability, aligning supplier commitments and lead times with production forecasts and launch needs.\nSupport commercialization by sourcing and qualifying new ingredients and packaging in partnership with R&D and Innovation teams.\nMonitor commodity markets and supply chain trends to identify cost risks, disruptions, and savings opportunities.\nSupport cost optimization projects through cost modeling, benchmarking or supplier and co-man outreach\nMaintain accurate procurement data, such as supplier contracts, pricing, and sourcing trackers.\nPartner cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Creative and Finance, and to align procurement with business needs.\nPotentially manage a remote, offshore employee, with scope and timing to be determined.\nRequirements\n3-6 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain within CPG, food & beverage (ideal), if not, other consumer products.\nDemonstrated experience running competitive bidding processes and negotiating with suppliers.\nStrong analytical skills - you’re comfortable building cost models, analyzing market data, and translating findings into actionable recommendations.\nFamiliarity with raw material and commodity ingredients relevant to food manufacturing (proteins, sweeteners, grains, fats/oils, packaging).\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to cross-functional partners.\nComfortable engaging suppliers directly - calls, site visits, whatever it takes.\nA self-starter mentality with a bias toward action; comfortable operating with limited oversight in a lean, fast-moving environment.\nProficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP or procurement platforms is a plus.\nBenefits\nCompetitive salary & equity\nBonus eligibility\n100% covered Health, Vision, Dental insurance (50% covered for dependents)\n401(k) with company match\nGenerous parental leave\nFlexible vacation\nPaid company holidays \nPaid sick leave \nCatered lunch in office\nDog friendly office \nUnlimited cereal \nWhat we value:\nHold on to the Dream Adult life shouldn’t be boring, prioritize your work/life balance, we can build a world-class company and have fun doing it\nDon’t miss the bowl for the loops We’re all working towards the same big goals, prioritize collaboration over ego, politics, or possessiveness\nBe a Fruit Loop in a world of Cheerios Bring your whole, unique self to work, celebrate and care for everyone\nPour your own milk…and don’t be afraid to spill a little We trust you, use your best judgment to make decisions. To further compensate and recognize our employees for their work, our total compensation package includes equity and a robust benefits package.
