You’ll balance delivery speed with long-term maintainability, performance optimization, security, and observability.\nYour contributions will directly impact system reliability, developer productivity, and business scalability.\nIf you thrive on solving complex backend challenges using modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems, we want to hear from you.\nResponsibilities\nLead the architectural design, development, and continuous evolution of scalable backend applications using Node.js (preferably with TypeScript).\nDesign and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs with clear versioning, validation, documentation, and error-handling standards.\nOptimize database performance (primarily PostgreSQL), including schema design, indexing strategies, query tuning, and transaction management.\nImplement asynchronous processing, background jobs, and event-driven workflows using modern queue or messaging systems.\nDesign resilient integrations with third-party APIs and services (timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, monitoring).\nEnsure code quality and reliability through automated testing (unit, integration, and contract tests).\nParticipate in code reviews, maintain high engineering standards, and actively mentor team members.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.\nContribute to infrastructure and deployment processes (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).\nImprove production reliability through monitoring, logging, tracing, and performance optimization.\nMaintain clear technical documentation, including architecture decisions and operational guidelines.\nTake ownership of complex technical initiatives and drive them to completion independently.\nRequirements\nMinimum of 7 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on backend development using Node.js in production environments.\nStrong proficiency in TypeScript (or modern JavaScript with willingness to work in TypeScript).\nExperience with backend frameworks such as NestJS, Express, or Fastify.\nSolid expertise with relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), including schema design and query optimization.\nExperience with caching and/or asynchronous processing systems (e.g., Redis, message brokers, queues).\nHands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest or similar) and CI/CD pipelines.\nStrong understanding of secure backend practices (authentication, authorization, input validation, secrets management, rate limiting).\nExperience working with containerization and cloud environments.\nProficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a remote-first environment.\nExcellent communication skills in English.\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative and lead technical decisions independently.\nExperience working within Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).\nBonus Points If You Have\nExperience designing microservices or refactoring monolithic systems.\nExperience with event-driven architectures.\nFamiliarity with GraphQL or advanced API contract design.\nExperience with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.\nHands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration.\nKnowledge of distributed tracing and observability practices.\nExposure to frontend frameworks such as React.js.\nContributions to open-source projects or technical publications.\nAbout Us\nWe are a team of innovative software professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions across diverse industries.
