Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected.\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe Manufacturing Automation Engineer supports the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation systems used within JIT and JIS operations. This role combines MES systems and PLC knowledge with automation engineering to improve safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.\nThe engineer works closely with production, maintenance, quality and IT personnel to identify opportunities for improvement, support equipment upgrades, and assist in the development of automated manufacturing solutions.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical field\n8+ years of manufacturing engineering, automation, controls, PLC or related experience\nVery Good knowledge of English\nExperience supporting automation projects in a production environment and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and processes, industrial robotics and automation systems, machine vision systems, electrical and controls fundamentals preferred\nExperience with ABB/KUKA robotics\nExperience in Root Cause Identification, Problem Resolution and Manufacturing Analytics\nAbility to determine customer needs to develop project specifications and scope\nAbility to adapt flexible hours according to project and production needs.\nResidence in Kocaeli\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAutomation Design & DevelopmentAssist in the design and implementation of automation systems for JIT and JIS automative seats production operations\nSupport integration of robotics, vision systems, material handling equipment, and automated feeding systems\nParticipate in equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new equipment installations\nSupport PLC, HMI, robot, and vision system development and troubleshooting activities\nAssist with commissioning, testing, and startup of automated equipment\nCreate and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and system records\n\nManufacturing Improvement; Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on:Scrap reduction\nDowntime reduction\nCycle time improvement\nLabor efficiency\nEquipment reliability\nAnalyze production and equipment data to identify trends and potential improvements\nSupport implementation of solutions that improve manufacturing performance\n\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
