Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nGeneral Job Duties:\nTo exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee’s Charter to maintain a positive and productive workplace.\nTo exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.\nTo demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.\nTo follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of Decostar employees as described in the employee handbook.\nTo meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.\nTo perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.\nSpecific Job Duties:\nTo follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.\nTo Understand the employee’s rights under the OSHA Act, EEOC, FLSA and do not allow for discrimination against any employee exercising their rights.\nAlways use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set good workplace standards and ensure all employees maintain those standards.\nTo follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace including: training of new employees, reporting unsafe acts or conditions and correcting or commending health and safety performance.\nEnsure that all accidents or injuries are reported immediately and actively participate in the accident investigation and completion of all open action items.\nHave knowledge of general workplace health and safety in regards to the general public and visitors to Decostar.\nRecommends and/or supports implementation of buying strategies that promote cost effective purchasing decisions, which supports increased speed to market requirements.\nManage new supplier development to ensure tooling and equipment supply base can meet Decostar requirements.\nManage sourcing process including preparation and issuance of Request for quotes relative to tooling, MRO, and equipment used in the Automotive Trim processes with pertinent specifications, vendor communications throughout duration of the quotes, negotiation of commercial, Terms & Conditions, tracking of RFQ progress, and preparation of Quotes summary/evaluation documents.\nConduct in-depth supplier pricing analysis to ensure competitive pricing is being achieved. \nAssist in the development and maintenance of new tooling and equipment standards and procedures.\nEstablish, manage, and evaluate tooling, MRO, and equipment suppliers’ metrics.\nEnsure that all purchasing activities are managed within budget, maintaining the highest level of ethics.\nManage commercial correspondence related to tooling, MRO, and equipment suppliers’ contract/ purchase order.\nIdentify areas for continuous improvement.\nDevelop measurements for quality improvements and target settings\nDevelop strategic plans and objectives (short and long-term)\nWork strategically with other departments and personnel on current and future business maximization\nDevelop coordination opportunities with Europe and Asia for tooling and equipment standards / sourcing Global platforms.\nPerform other duties as directed.\n.\nSkills and Experience Required:\nMust have a minimum of 3 years buying experience in an automotive environment\nRequires experience in diversified procurement and negotiation skills associated with various components and materials\nFluency in English mandatory, ability to speak German, Japanese or Korean is a plus.\nWillingness and ability to travel up to 50%, as required accomplishing the job. \nExcellent organizational skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite.\nExperienced in automotive tooling, equipment, and MRO purchasing practices and processes.\nExperienced in automotive tooling and equipment design and engineering.\nEducation:\nA Bachelor’s Degree is required. An Associate’s Degree along with diversified procurement and negotiation experience will be accepted in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking for up to eight (8) hours a day, the ability to perform work while sitting for up to eight (8) hours a day and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an infrequent basis. Good vision at a close distance is required. Must be capable of performing repetitive motion at, above and below shoulder height for up to six (6) hours a day.\nTraining Requirements:\nYou will receive training to perform your job on an on-going basis concurrent with Decostar business operations.
