Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nSupports Magna Operational Principles and Employee Charter criteria within context and position's scope of work support EBM’s ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, IATF System, as well as Magna Safety and Magna Environmental Program requirements\nOperate CMM and assist with maintenance of the CMM including hardware and software\nUtilize PC-DMIS (Personal Computer Dimensional Measurement Interface Specification) software to execute part layouts and fixture certifications\nAssist with analysis of results from computer programs and parts sampling with Quality, Tool Room, and Engineering teams\nPerform dimensional layout using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) knowledge\nSupport manufacturing needs by providing accurate and timely data from CMM\nParticipate in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) with Quality & Engineering\nCalibrate precise measuring equipment regularly and record data\nHelp analyze gauge R&R (Reliability and Repeatability) data\nSeek out opportunities for Continuous Improvement\nHousekeeping and other activities as assigned\nSH&E\nProvide a safe and healthful work environment that is free of all recognized hazards for employees, contractors, and visitors\nSupport continual improvement of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Systems\nAdvise employees, contractors and visitors of any actual or potential danger to their safety or health and ensure the necessary training and/or personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided.\nCooperate with all local, state and federal agencies, such as OSHA or the EPA, in the event of an inspection.\nKnow, follow and enforce all applicable SH&E Rules, Policies, and Procedures.Help support Group SH&E Performance Measurables such as incident rate reduction, near miss reporting, and Safety Committee participation. \nOverall performance to the measurable elements of our SH&E system are part of annual performance review.\nEDUCATION\nHigh School Diploma required\nTechnical background in CMM operation preferred\nTECHNICAL EDUCATION\nSPC (Statistical Process Control) and PC-DMIS software preferred\nPERFORMANCE MEASURES\nSafety Compliance\n5S\nQuality\nAttendance\nPunctuality\nPerformance Evaluation\nKey Operating Indicators (KOI’s)\nQUALIFICATIONS\nManufacturing/machine operation, preferably in the automotive field\nPrior quality experience helpful\nTechnical ability required to learn how to operate CMM properly\n3-5 years’ experience as Operator or Technician\nSKILLS\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills required\nAbility to read, write, and speak English\nGood people skills\nTechnical mathematics skills\nExcellent attention to detail\nAbility to meet deadlines\nFamiliarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)\nExcellent computer skills required for operating CMM\nAvailable to work overtime\nEQUIPMENT AND TOOLS\nCoordinate Measuring Machine\nCommon office equipment (i.e. PC, copier, facsimile, etc)\nPrecise measuring equipment including verniers, calipers, micrometers, or other equipment used to measure product quality and conformance to customer specifications\nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nAbility to move throughout the plant\nExtended sitting and standing; reaching and bending\nOccasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required\nLoud work environment; compliance with personal protective equipment as required\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENT\n None foreseen\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
