Our award-winning seating solutions are developed from consumer research, finding the ease of operation to be comfortable, convenient and connected.\nREQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:\nUniversity Degree or associate’s degree in Electronics from a minimum 2 year College or Technical school i.e., Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology or Industrial Electrical License preferred.\nMinimum 5 years of progressively more-complex assembly/maintenance related experience.\nElectrical controls engineering background preferable with technical education in basic electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics is required.\nValue Analysis / Value Engineering (VA/VE) an asset.\nWork experience with Allen Bradley, Fanuc, RS Logix, and Ethernet controls systems required.\nMust be able to work with minimal supervision.\nCreate, read, understand and modify electrical prints and specifications.\nWorking knowledge of resistance spot and GMAW.\nExperience with Bosch or WTC weld controls.\nExperience with PHSR and Industrial Safety Standards.\nAbility to work well in a fast paced environment and with a variable workload.\nStrong organizational, planning, written, and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrate a maturity of judgement, leadership skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational, listening, communication and presentation skills in all aspects of the job function.\nExcellent math skills with the ability to apply to analyze data.\nAbility to demonstrate and use Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, PanelBuilder, EPLAN.\nAbility to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment in order to meet customer requirements.\nMust be able to interact effectively with other team members.\nAble to appreciate and maintain proper level of confidentiality, using discretion and tact.\nDUTIES:\nSupports engineering in the development of standards and specifications, including a complete purchase parts list related to controls systems.\nProvides technical support for controls systems during the introduction of new equipment. Assembles and installs new equipment and supervises equipment assembly and installation.\nEnsures proper controls-specific documentation delivery from the Original Equipment Manufacturer(s) and maintains documents (e.g., electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, panel layouts, PLC, operator display, operator interface, robot programs, and machine power distribution) throughout equipment life cycle; and documents any changes during that time.\nPlans the updates, modifications, and continuous improvement of existing controls systems including robotic programs, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, hydraulics, and pneumatics distribution and control.\nDesign and write advanced electrical controls programs as required.\nProvides technical support to the Assembly Department for resolving PLC, weld controls and robotic systems.\nDocuments equipment breakdown/activity in electronic database and provides reports as requested. Uses reports to analyze opportunities for improvement.\nSchedules and completes back-ups of all electronic machine control and robotic programs on a set schedule.\nInstalls and maintains all plant floor machine controls to Ethernet gateways, links and connections; maintains all sub-machine control data highways and coordinates and supports with the plant floor Ethernet machine drop routing and Ethernet message traffic control.\nInspects equipment conditions utilizing established Preventative Maintenance procedures.\nPlans and leads cross-functional project teams supporting activities related to controls issues.\nEnsures compliance with National Electrical Code and OSHA standards.\nComplies with, supports and models MSC’s operational procedures/policies\nComplies with relevant Quality and Environmental programs (e.g. TS16949, ISO14001).\nComplies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA.
