With 65+ years of expertise, our ecosystem of interconnected products combined with our complete vehicle expertise uniquely positions us to advance mobility in an expanded transportation landscape.\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe Controller, Regional IT Finance & Controlling - India is responsible for financial reporting, controlling, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and financial governance for Magna's India IT operations. The role reports to the Manager, Finance & Controlling and works closely with local stakeholders and the Global IT Finance team to maintain a strong local financial control and governance environment, support accurate and timely reporting, and contribute to a range of regional and global finance activities and priorities. The position will also support the finance activities required for the SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation in India.\nYour Responsibilities\n· Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting for the India IT organization, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely submissions.\n· Prepare management reporting, forecasts, variance analysis, accruals, balance-sheet reviews, and financial commentary, clearly identifying key drivers, risks, and required actions.\n· Establish, document, monitor, and continuously improve local financial controls, policies, and procedures, including appropriate review, approval, reconciliation, and supporting-evidence requirements.\n· Maintain effective financial governance for the India IT office and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, Magna finance policies, internal-control requirements, and local obligations in coordination with relevant specialists.\n· Support annual budgeting, business planning, forecasting, and IT service pricing activities including data collection, modelling, validation, documentation, and stakeholder follow-up.\n· Monitor operating expenses, headcount-related costs, project spending, capital expenditures, and other key cost drivers; identify financial risks, control gaps, trends, and opportunities to improve financial performance and cost management.\n· Partner with India business leaders, local finance teams, and the Global IT Finance team to support decision-making and contribute to regional and global reporting, analysis, projects, and continuous-improvement activities.\n· Coordinate accounting, audit, tax, treasury, payroll, procurement, and compliance-related activities affecting the India IT office, maintaining clear ownership and timely resolution of issues.\n· Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis, business cases, and management presentations, and perform other finance and controlling responsibilities as required.\nSAP S/4HANA Cloud Support\n· Support regional finance activities associated with the SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation in India.\n· Assist with finance process documentation, data validation, testing, reporting requirements, user acceptance, and implementation readiness.\n· Work with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure that local financial-control, governance, and reporting requirements are appropriately reflected in the solution.\nWho we are looking for\n· A recognized professional accounting designation such as CA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent is required, together with a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.\n· 7 or more years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, controlling, or FP&A, preferably within a multinational environment.\n· Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, balance-sheet review, and internal controls.\n· Strong understanding of financial governance and control design, including the ability to document processes, identify control gaps, and implement practical improvements.\n· Experience with SAP finance and controlling processes is required; exposure to an SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, testing, or stabilization is an asset.\n· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, data warehouses, or similar reporting tools is an asset.\n· Experience working effectively with global, virtual, and cross-functional teams across time zones.\nWhat we offer\nAt Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
