Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Controller is responsible for supporting both the Department Leader and the Assistant Department Leader by overseeing all Finance functions. The Controller is expected to maintain adherence to the Magna Minimum Controls and is responsible for employees in finance and accounting functions. The Controller will have excellent presentation, motivational and team building skills and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a positive attitude.\nThis position has been posted to fill an existing vacancy.\nPOSITION SALARY\n$125,000 - $155,000 CAD Annually\nThis range reflects only the base salary and does not include other components of our total compensation package, such as bonuses, the Continuous Improvement Program, GRRSP Matching, MBC Program, and other variable benefits.\nWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:\nMust poses a CPA.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.\nMinimum 3 years of leadership experience.\nExperience with integrated financial / manufacturing software packages and SAP.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAdhere to Magna Minimum Controls Guidelines\nProvide future development/direction for department (continuously improve processes).\nSafeguard all financial documents and keep all financial matters private and confidential.\nResponsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger accounting system.\nProtect the assets of the company by continual review and awareness of internal control issues, with appropriate recommendations for improvements.\nEnsure SOX guidelines are adhered to.\nAnalyze and approve all general ledger reconciliations to ensure compliance with both internal and external audit tests as required.\nAnalyze and present month end financial statement package to senior leadership\nAnalyze monthly actual results compared to budget and forecast. Investigate variances and make recommendations to improve operations.\nPrepare periodic reports for management and corporate requests.\nEnsure an accurate cost tracking and allocation system for the plant is maintained.
