Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:\nLead the facility hazardous waste program in full compliance with RCRA (40 CFR 260-273) and Large Quantity Generator (LQG) requirements, including waste classification, accumulation areas, inspections, manifests, LDRs, and biennial reporting.\nEnsure compliance with DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR 171-180) by properly classifying hazardous materials and overseeing compliant shipment and transportation practices.\nCoordinate all environmental compliance activities, maintaining and overseeing the ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Management Systems, serving as Plant Lead Auditor, and supporting certification and third-party audits.\nMonitor, report, and drive continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety Management Systems through management reviews, corrective action tracking, and performance reporting.\nIdentify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace health and safety risks through facility inspections, accident investigations, hazard analyses, and corrective/preventive action recommendations.\nDevelop, implement, and coordinate EHS policies, permits, training programs, and safety communications to promote regulatory compliance and safety culture.\nServe as an EHS technical resource to leadership and departments, facilitating safety meetings, maintaining records, overseeing consultants, and supporting legal, insurance, and regulatory inquiries.\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\nEDUCATION:\nBachelor’s (BS or BA) Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, or related degree.\nCSP, CIH, or CHMM certification is preferred.\nWastewater certification a plus.\nWORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:\nRequires 5+ years of experience in EHS position in a manufacturing environment. \nRequires certification in ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ability to obtain certification within six months of being hired.\nRequires strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.\nWHY WORK HERE?\nHealth Insurance (includes telemedicine, FSA, HSA, and other benefits)\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\n401(k) with match\nEmployee Profit Sharing Plan\nEmployee Assistance Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nReferral Program - Up to $1,000 per hired referral\nOnsite cafeteria with multiple fresh-cooked options and salad bar, and fully stocked breakrooms throughout plant\nAnnual events (Summer cookout, Christmas party, etc.)\nOnsite Nurses' office\nOnsite Mother's room\nPay range: $70,000 - $90,000 annual salary\nVISA SPONSORSHIP NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
