Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPOSITION SUMMARY: To provide Engineering Students with automotive engineering work experience assisting with their ongoing educational training and skill development. The student will perform a wide array of duties within the Engineering Department.\nThis position is posted to backfill a current vacancy.\nWAGE: $21.60 - $25.25 CAD Per Hour\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nEnrolled in Mechanical Engineering/Technology Degree/Diploma or equivalent\nSome experience with CAD.\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES::\nContribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities.\nCAD drawing of components, tooling or workstations.\nTravel to customers/vendors to investigate quality concerns; tooling build process and buyoffs.\nInvolved in projects at any stage from inception to completion.\nPrepare cycle-time analysis and/or time studies, to facilitate line balancing.\nPrepares reports, charts and other documentation required for engineering records and projects\n Work in a safe, organized, effective, efficient and proactive manner.\nAssist in developing material handling logistics.\nProvide assistance with internal instruction of new equipment or processes.\nAssist in setting up preventative/predictive maintenance requirements.\nActions to resolve quality issues.\nAssists in Special Material Runs requirements and Service Part requirements.\nSupport engineering change procedure with specific outline responsibilities.\nProvide product design direction based on part manufacturability.\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
