With 65+ years of expertise, our ecosystem of interconnected products combined with our complete vehicle expertise uniquely positions us to advance mobility in an expanded transportation landscape.\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe Financial Reporting team is responsible for Magna’s global internal and external financial close process, including the quarterly preparation of Magna’s complex public company financial statements, management’s discussion & analysis and related regulatory filings. The Financial Reporting department is an approved CPA Training Office with this position qualifying as practical experience for registered CPA students. The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the monthly and quarterly financial close process.\nYour Responsibilities\nSalary: $68,000-$85,000 annually\nImmediate, open position\nLiaise with reporting units to resolve issues during the close process.\nReconcile and analyze financial statement accounts.\nConsolidate reporting unit schedules accurately.\nPrepare and maintain monthly consolidation journal entries and reporting schedules.\nAssist in preparing complex public company financial statements, including supporting schedules.\nSupport compliance reporting, document accounting guidance, and maintain understanding of financial performance.\nWho we are looking for\nUniversity degree, currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA designation.\n0-3 years of post-university work experience.\nFinancial reporting experience at a large public company or public accounting firm is an asset.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial applications like One Stream is an asset.\nStrong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage tasks effectively.\nOrganized and able to prioritize tasks in a deadline-oriented environment.\nWork Environment\nHybrid work environment with 3 days in the office, 2 days’ work from home\nLimited travel required\nPlease Note\nAccommodations for disabilities in relation to the job selection process are available upon request.\nCandidates will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check, and if deemed necessary, a Credit Check as part of the candidate selection process.\nWhat we offer\nAt Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.
