As a global automotive supplier and full-system partner, Magna brings together expertise across Mechatronics and Mirror systems to deliver integrated solutions that support the evolution of vehicle architectures.\nJob Responsibilities:\nJOB SUMMARY:\nAnalyzes and prepares financial statements and reports such as income and inventory statements, balance sheets, and statements of financial position. Performs advanced professional, independent, and objective financial and business analyses of fixed capital and other investment proposals and other special financial studies. Supports finance function in various planning, reporting, and analytical capacities.\nESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for assisting in month end process, including journal entry preparation and financial analysis.\nPrepares monthly balance sheet reconciliations and roll forward analysis.\nAssists in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts.\nGenerates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business.\nAnalyzes profit and loss income statements and prepares reports on findings to make recommendations to management.\nPerforms economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments.\nResearches details related to purchase requisitions and invoice approvals.\nWorks to create, track and close out fixed asset projects.\nTracks tooling costs, spend analysis and invoicing to the OEM.\nPerforms inventory analysis.\nPrepares audit schedules and support.\nAssists with budget preparation.\nUnderstands and follows existing Magna policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvements.\nREQUIREMENTS:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nDemonstrates strong written and verbal skills in order to prepare reports and communicate with customers.\nPossesses strong organizational and project management skills in order to provide necessary resources.\nDetail oriented with the ability to multi-task projects.\nPossesses analytical skills and shows critical thinking capabilities.\nCompetent in use of computer software including; ERP, Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes.\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS\nAnalyst I\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience), with 0-2 years experience in an appropriate financial environment\nDemonstrated strong initiative in confronting and resolving problems.\nEffective in written and verbal communications, proven skills in interacting with others.\nPossess analytical skills.\nAbility to organize and prioritize work with minimal supervision.\nProficient in use of computers, including spreadsheets and graphics.\nAnalyst II\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience), three to five years experience in an appropriate financial environment.\nExperience in project management.\nStrong leadership and communication skills with ability to aggressively interact and influence all segments of the organization.\nProficient knowledge in manufacturing systems, competent in most phases of data base management and information reporting.\nAnalyst III\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience), six to eight years of experience in an appropriate financial environment.\nExercises independent judgment and discretion utilizing broad knowledge for accounting and financial analysis techniques.\nExperience in general supervision and project management.
