Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nGeneral Job Duties:\nTo exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee’s Charter to maintain a positive and productive workplace.\nTo follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of Decostar employees as described in the employee handbook.\nTo follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace.\nTo Understand the employee’s rights under the OSHA Act, EEOC, FLSA and do not allow for discrimination against any employee exercising their rights.\nAlways use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set good workplace standards and ensure all employees maintain those standards.\nTo follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace including: training of new employees, reporting unsafe acts or conditions and correcting or commending health and safety performance.\nEnsure that all accidents or injuries are reported immediately and actively participate in the accident investigation and completion of all open action items.\nEnsure that you follow company policies and business objectives in the daily supervision of the operations of the company.\nTo exhibit teamwork and leadership skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.\nTo demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.\nTo support all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.\nTo perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.\nHave knowledge of general workplace health and safety in regards to the general public and visitors to Decostar.\nEnsure a spirit of respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and fair dealing in all our operations between our internal, external customers and suppliers.\nSpecific Job Duties:\nMaintain valid Forklift and Manlift certifications.\nPainting experience is required.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nSelf-motivated and dependable\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n Patch, repair, and paint facility surfaces as needed.\nAssist with additional maintenance and repair tasks as required.\n Execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures on all applicable equipment and facilities.\nCommunicate job-related details clearly through written and verbal methods, including team meetings, work orders, and related reports.\nMaintain a high standard of cleanliness within the department.  Perform other duties as assigned.\nEducation:\nH.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is required\nSkills and Experience:\nMinimum 2 Years Painting or Maintenance Experience.\nDemonstrated organizational and communication skills.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThis position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while standing or walking for up to eight (8) hours a day, the ability to perform work while sitting for up to eight (8) hours a day and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an infrequent basis. Good vision at a close distance is required. Must be capable of performing repetitive motion at, above and below shoulder height for up to six (6) hours a day. (See attached sheet for detailed physical description of this position.)\nTraining Requirements:\n You will receive training to perform your job on an on-going basis concurrent with Decostar business operations.
