Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAt Modatek Systems, the Human Resources (HR) Generalist supports the company through various HR programs and systems to meet company goals, legislative and Employee Charter requirements. The HR Generalist works closely with their assigned departments to manage the day-to-day human resources activities to support business objectives.\nSalary Range: $70,000 - $85,000\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\nPost-secondary education in Human Resources, or a related field\nMinimum two (2) years Human Resources experience \nProficient in Microsoft Office\nAdvanced Excel, AI, and data management skills an asset\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, customer service\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail\nFlexibility in hours to support shift scheduling requirements\nExperience organizing social engagement activities would be an asset\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment and uphold confidentiality\nKnowledge of HRIS and Time and Attendance is an asset\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:\nRecruitment & OnboardingManages full cycle recruitment for specified departments including on boarding Works with Leaders to source the best candidates following established procedures\n\n Employee RelationsServe as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs. \nAddress employee inquiries and resolve workplace issues in a timely and professional manner.\nProvides guidance, makes recommendations and coaches leaders and team members with respect to progressive discipline, performance management and the application of policies and procedures, Employee Handbook and applicable legislation \nManages the life cycle employment process for business group (hiring, leaves, transfers, layoffs and exit procedures relating to terminations, resignations and retirements. \nWorks with business group to support manpower planning, training matrices and auditing training compliance\nResponds to concerns and conducts thorough workplace investigations. \n\n Performance ManagementSupport the performance review process and assist with goal setting and development plans.\n\nBenefits AdministrationAdminister employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.\nRespond to benefits-related questions and liaise with providers as needed. \n\nHR ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, provincial/state, and local employment laws and regulations.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HRIS data and creates ad hoc reports\nRecommends, reviews, interprets and updates human resources policies and procedures\n\nWORK AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:\nOffice/plant areas and manufacturing environment\nWillingness to travel for training and meetings\nSchedule flexibility to cover demands of department and a 3-shift operation\nMonday - Friday on-site \nPhysically able to perform the essential duties of the position\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
