The Intermediate Technician will also be responsible for hand tool calibrations, Cogentin’s inspections and training of Junior Technicians.\nPay: $38.66/hr\nMinimum Requirements\n3-year Karmax Heavy Stamping experience as a Junior Layout Technician or 4 years external work experience in a related field.\nGrade 12 Diploma or GED.\nAble to work in various locations within and outside the plant.\n Exceptional knowledge and certificate in GD&T.\n Understanding of the usage and design concepts for part inspection fixtures.\nCAD and experience (AutoCAD, CATIA,)\nExcellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills\nGood mathematical, analytical and organizational skill\nJob Specific Responsibilities\nFollow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.\nChecking fixture calibrations & GR & R studies\nPerform annual part layouts, PPAP’s, PIST & PIPC’s, general inspection reports\nWrite, amend and debug CMM programs using CAD and PC-Dmis\nConduct inspection reports to investigate an internal or customer issue\nInspection using standard hand metrology tools\nAbility to administration of the Cognitens systems\nWork with Karmax Engineering, Customers and suppliers to resolve dimensional concerns\nProvide layout training as required\nPerform handheld measuring tool calibrations and the ability to administrate the lab system\nSafely operate the overhead crane, blue giant and buggy\nOrder supplies as required using the KPS system\nManual CMM operation (scribing duties)\nActing supervisor on off-shifts and when the supervisor is out of the plant\nActive with quality and information technology system improvements\nAssist with APQP tasks and AQP personnel\nRequired to work overtime to meet customer needs and work a three-shift rotation.\nPerform all duties in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Karmax Environmental Policy Statement-3 Ps.\nPrevent Pollution, Preserve Natural Resources & Protect our Environment\nPerforms other duties as required.\nGeneral Responsibilities\nIATF16949 and ISO14001 awareness and adherence.\nUnderstand, promote and live by Magna’s philosophies and the Employee Charter.\nMaintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with the safety policies of Karmax Manufacturing.\nWork within the guidelines of the Karmax Manufacturing Employee Handbook and safety rules.\nKeep work area in a clean and orderly condition. \nLean manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence\nWork safely, ethically and professionally while supporting company objectives and values.\nComply with all applicable quality, environmental, and health and safety requirements.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean and organized workplace.\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
