Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSALARY:\n$60,000 - $65,000\nVACANCY STATUS:\nImmediate, Open Position\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nParticipate in the development, implementation and updating of quality systems and procedures with guidance from Quality Engineering\nAssist in the development, continued completeness and accuracy of:\n- Process Flow Chart\n- PFMEA\n- Control Plan\n- Applicable quality inspection instructions\n- Applicable departmental standardized work\n- Applicable quality records\nWith support from Quality Engineering, champion the investigation of concerns or complaints reported by the customer in order to identify and correct quality systems failures using the PPSR Process to completion and sign off\nTravel to Customer as required to investigate concerns or complaints\nContinually observe and evaluate the manufacturing process with the goal of identifying opportunities to prevent failures or non-conformance\nInteract with Program Manager as appropriate to ensure manufacturability and accurate GD&T/drawings\nWith support from Quality Engineering, coordinate, execute, document, and report process capability studies leading to the development of a stable capable process at time of PPAP\nEnsure safe storage of approved master samples, and the creation and distribution of authorized surrogate master samples\nAssist and train other Quality and Production personnel in the use of equipment and test methods as per the work instruction\nWith support from Quality Engineering, ensure that all specifications and requirements are documented in the appropriate inspection documents through the DCC process (CAQ database)\nCoordinate and create the PPAP documentation package with guidance from a Quality Engineer\nParticipate in on-site launch support at the customer manufacturing location as required\nResponsible for ECN approval participation\nPerform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace\nComply with the requirements of CTPAT/PIP\nConduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct\nReport all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior\nAdhere to applicable quality systems and IATF 16949 standards\nAdhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook\nParticipate in and support Continuous Improvement initiatives\nMaintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards\nEnsure work area is kept neat and organized\nPerform other duties as required\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nEDUCATION:\nMinimum completion of college diploma in a quality-related field\nCompletion or working towards ASQ Certification\nEXPERIENCE:\nExperience in a Quality role in a manufacturing environment\nExperience in automotive industry an asset\nSKILLS:\nKnowledge of SPC, IATF-16949, prints, GD&T and other automotive quality systems requirements\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nComputer literate in MS Word and spreadsheet programs\nDemonstrated ability to effectively solve problems\nStrong interpersonal skills\nWell-developed organizational and time management skills\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
