As a global automotive supplier and full-system partner, Magna brings together expertise across Mechatronics and Mirror systems to deliver integrated solutions that support the evolution of vehicle architectures.\nJob Responsibilities:\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nResponsible for customer satisfaction related to program issues; represents the product engineering group as appropriate on technical program issues both internally and externally\nSupervises the activities of a small product engineering team for a particular program within a product team\nActively participates in product development process via code reviews, HW reviews, eBOM compliance, etc\nAct as subject matter expert for HW / SW integration (ECU as a System)\nCoordinate mechanical closure design team supporting electronic assemblies and prototype activities\nParticipates in the interviewing and hiring of staff to support program team\nSupervises the professional development of assigned staff, including: monitoring performance, participating and/or administering performance appraisals, development of personnel for continuous improvement and/or advancement, coaching and counseling as required under the guidance of the manager\nInitiates and evaluates the design of new products and the improvement of existing products, controlling the expenditure of engineering time and funds in accordance with established project budgets as communicated by the Engineering Manager\nSupervises engineering change notices to ensure the cost effectiveness, quality and reliability of products designed\nInitiates investigation of product problems indicated by the customer, engineers, manufacturing, and sales and approves appropriate engineering change notices\nProvide information on customer requirements to the team and provide support to ensure development team can follow customer procedure and requirements\nMaintains affiliations with, and represents the company in appropriate professional, technical and educational groups\nFollows Magna’s Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policies\nPerform other duties as required\n\nSalary Range: $100,000-$130,000 Annual\nVacancy Status: New Vacancy\nQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:\nB. S. Degree in Engineering, M.S., Engineering or MBA desirable\nP.E. registration preferred\n10 years directly applicable industry experience in product design, analysis, testing and supervision\nStrong teambuilding and team development skills\nStrong MBSE tool experience (Jira,Doors, No Magic, Simulink, Matlab)\nStrong technical presentation skills\nStrong customer interface skills (for applications engineering)\nGlobal product development skills \nWORKING CONDITIONS:\nConditions may cause minor stress or physical discomfort due to limited exposure to elements or frequent exposure to moderately disagreeable internal or external conditions.
