Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nBenefits Available Day One | B Shift | Tuesday - Friday 5 PM - 5 AM\nLocation: Liberty, MO\nMagna is seeking a Logistics Area Leader to support material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and supplier relationships to ensure customer demand is met while maintaining efficient inventory levels and uninterrupted production operations.\nWhat You'll Do\nContinue development and revisions of VSM (Value Stream Map) to identify opportunities for improvement in Material Flow.\n\nDefine and recalculate Kanban sizes for each component between Supermarkets and shop floor as required.\n\nMonitor performance of Kanban levels and take pro-active actions to solve problems and mitigate risk attributable to these levels and the corresponding assembly cells.\n\nInteract closely with Production, Engineering and Quality to effectively plan and execute Kanban requirements to support Plant requirements.\n\nCoordinates and implements effective material handling techniques to assure material availability while achieving defined Kanban levels.\n\nCycle counts as required.\n\nResponsible for shop floor communication systems execution.\n\nMaintain WMS and Kanban functionality updates in ERP.\n\nResponsible for mobile equipment in the Plant such as forklifts, tuggers, AMRs, etc.\n\nResolve technical issues, supervise, and validate the completion of deployed AMR missions throughout shift\n\nApprove changes in Kanban levels.\n\nConducts material handling and flow analysis; responsible for material flow within the plant, plant layouts, new equipment layout and warehousing requirements.\n\nConduct pre-shift meetings to review indicators, open issues and concerns as well as communicate quality alerts.\n\nDevelop Team Members through coaching and mentoring.\n\nEstablish and maintain effective communications with all departments.\n\nParticipate in manpower planning and recruiting.\n\nPromote accountability through application of the progressive discipline policy.\n\nEnsure training for Team Members as outlined in the training matrix.\n\nConduct accident / incident investigations.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree and/or 3 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nThoroughly knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Kanban, JIT and Logistics manufacturing high volume tangible goods.\n\nProficient with Microsoft Office programs\n\nExperience with Value Stream Mapping preferred.\n\nStrong analytical skills, excellent at managing data at the detail level.\n\nBusiness acumen and ability to exercise sound judgment in the course of executing daily responsibilities.\n\nCreative thinker, able to implement and/or lead process improvement activity.\n\nRFID knowledge in implementation and operation.\n\nAble to address and resolve ambiguity; prioritize, multi-task and work independently\n\nBenefits\nBenefits Available Day One\n\nHealth, Dental, and Vision Insurance\n\nPaid Vacation and Holidays\n\n401(k)\n\nProfit Sharing (eligibility requirements apply)\n\nTuition Reimbursement\n\nEmployee Referral Program\n\nLife Insurance and AD&D Coverage\n\nPhysical Demands\nContinuous walking, standing, and sitting\n\nRepetitive lifting up to 55 lbs.\n\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
