Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Powertrain.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSchedule\n1st Shift: Monday through Friday, [5:00am-3:30pm]\nOvertime and weekend work as needed\nResponsibilities: ( These duties cover only the more significant responsibilities, they are not meant to be all inclusive. Other duties may be given by the supervisor in addition to, or instead of, those listed here.)\nTroubleshoot and repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.\nPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and production systems.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.\nMaintain motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.\nDocument maintenance activities and support continuous improvement efforts.\nActive participation in MAFACT Teams and activities as required. \nParticipates in continuous improvement activities, submits Cost saving improvement suggestions, CIP’s.\nEnsure that company policies and procedures are adhered to including IATF16949, ISO14001 (EMS), and Employee Handbook.\nFollows MIOSHA and MPTSH safety regulations and policies, including wearing required P.P.E. (Personal Protective Equipment). \nEducation and/or Experience:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\n3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.\nStrong knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, and troubleshooting.\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nWillingness to work overtime and respond to emergency maintenance needs as required.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:\nAbility to obtain forklift and aerial permits, previous experience. Must be able to obtain Confined Space certification. Must possess valid driver’s license.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nCompetitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Read, write and speak English.\nMathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as Ohms Law, volts, watts, power consumption and necessary fuse ratings. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nComputer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software such as RS Logix, and other pertinent software. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office.\nReasoning Skills: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to use problem solving when presented with problems or duties that do not have immediate answers or results.\nCommunication Skills: Strong communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to use active listening. Able to clearly communicate technical details to all levels of the organization and in a fashion to allow effective problem solving.\nProblem Solving Skills: Must be able to facilitate structured problem solving.
