Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nROTATING 3 SHIFT - 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm/10pm-6am\nPosition Summary:\nReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor (Upstream), the Maintenance Team Leader (Upstream) is responsible for the coordination and leadership of the maintenance team currently on shift. They will liaise with the production team leader and supervisor to achieve manufacturing targets specifically around plant availability and PM completion.\nRole Responsibilities:\nPromoting the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhering to all health and safety environmental requirements.\nEnsuring a safe working environment through use of static and dynamic risk assessments.\nManaging contractors safely.\nResponding swiftly to close out accidents, near misses, environmental issues, and internal “don’t walk by” actions.\nEnsuring the maintenance schedule (CMs, CIs and PMs) is adhered to and reporting back on activities away from plan.\nEnsuring equipment availability is in line with departmental targets.\nManaging team holidays and absence in line with company policy and procedure. - Ensuring that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to ensure the smooth running of the facility.\nTo engage in root cause analysis of repeat/major breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvements.\nTo engineer out previous issues following a continuous improvement mind-set and methodology.\nTo support internal customers with technical issues.\nAttending training when required and adhering to CCUK and Magna standards.\nApplying 5S methodology in work area and wider factory.\nDriving departmental and company goals and objectives. - Promote and set a positive example in a manner that reflects the Magna Employees Charter, Corporate Constitution and Divisions Mission, Vision, Objectives, Goals and Values.\nTo support management with ad-hoc projects as and when required. \nTo coach, mentor and undertake annual appraisals of team members.\nIdentifying and facilitating the training requirements of your team.\nEssential Experience\nPrevious experience in a maintenance function.\nTime served apprentice in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.\nWillingness to multi- skill.\nAbility to delegate to skilled workers.\nReport writing skills.\nExperience in fault finding from electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic schematics.\nGood Microsoft package (especially word, excel, power point)\nTo be able to communicate technical issues and conduct start of shift briefs.\n5’s experience.\nDesirable Experience\nQualification in both electrical & mechanical discipline\nEducated to HNC/HND in related discipline.\nExperience within the Castings sector.\nHealth and safety accreditation.\nExperience of Tier 1 Automotive supplier.\nPrevious experience leading a technical team.\nExperience of maintaining the following processes:\nVacuum Pumps\nDie Casting Machines (or Injection Moulding)\nHydraulic Presses\nSiemens TIA Portal (PLC)\nConveyors\nMelting Furnaces (Gas Burners)\nABB IRC5 Robotics\nPersonal Attributes:\nGood problem-solving skills\nTeam player and promotes a team approach to problem solving\nConfidence to challenge the status quo\nTarget driven, Understand KPI and motivate team to achieve.\nWork collaboratively to achieve project/company goals\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment\nGood communicator both written and verbal\nAbility to work under pressure\nOrganised and able to multi-task\nProactive in approach with a “can do attitude”\nFlexibility to travel overseas infrequently\nWorking Environment:\nPlant conditions necessitate exposure to heat, cold, dust, hot objects, and loud noises within our manufacturing environment.
