Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Powertrain.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSalary : Starting at $120,000 Annually + Discretionary Bonus\nKey Responsibilities:\nManage MPT’s North American efforts with Magna’s SOX and compliance processes; including the coordination of testing for identified in-scope SOX locations and the completion of internal control assessments.\n\nManage IT remediation efforts by establishing timelines and deliverables for the regional IT leads.\n\nCoordinate the quarterly 302 certification process across all sub-groups and all divisions using our internal certification tool.\n\nAssist in the quarterly compliance certification process; through reporting of new issues and status of previously reported issues.\n\nLead MPT NA’s internal audit follow-up process by conducting on-site reviews, driving action plan timing and completeness, maintaining appropriate documentation and reporting quarterly.\n\nProvide guidance and direction on accounting policy, internal control design and remediation items through best practices.\n\nLead internal control and compliance integration for new North American entities.\n\nAssist in the design and deployment of MPT’s internal compliance reporting.\n\nFor new entities, lead the SOX documentation process and assist in keeping current.\n\nCommunicate and provide required training to divisions for internal control framework changes required by Magna.\n\nPerform annual balance sheet reviews through a standard review format (Controller’s Model File). Perform quarterly reviews of high risk/high profile divisions.\n\nLead ad hoc internal control and compliance reviews as issues arise, including the coordination of multifunctional teams if necessary.\n\nParticipate in business process and/or system design reviews from both a finance and internal controls perspective.\n\nAssist in other integration activities for internal controls and compliance, as deemed appropriate.\n\nFollow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.\n\nAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned.\n\nCustomers and Business Interfaces:\nWork with all levels of management across all functions as required.\n\nLiaise between the IA department and MPT North American divisions for scheduling of audits.\n\nLiaise with Magna’s Compliance department on new requirements for deployment.\n\nRequirements and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field; CPA designation required.\n\n7 to 10 years of experience in corporate audit, finance, accounting and/or project management within a manufacturing environment.\n\nDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements.\n\nExperience with SAP, Trans4M, OneStream and other financial applications is considered an asset.\n\nFluency in Spanish is considered an asset.\n\nHighly organized and deadline-oriented, with the ability to coordinate indirect teams to meet internal and external deadlines.\n\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25% of the time.\n\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
