Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\n Job Responsibilities:\nSalary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year\nLead engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and alignment with customer requirements (PPAP and run at rate).\nHandle tasks across project phases, including timing, concept, feasibility studies, design, construction, and prototype programs.\nMonitor and follow-up on project progress with leadership to ensure goals are met.\nConduct manpower efficiency studies using time and motion analysis, standard data, and other methodologies (e.g., MOST, Cosma CTC charts).\nDevelop line balancing, manpower, and machine charts for flexible and efficient workflows.\nSupport and contribute to continuous improvement projects and initiatives.\nWork with all departments and customers to design solutions that improve production efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and maintenance.\nAssist in creating and implementing material handling solutions (e.g., aisle layouts, bin placement, and dunnage assists).\nReview, monitor, and coordinate tooling design, build, approval process, and capital budgeting.\nOversee equipment relocation and installation, ensuring effective integration into the Meadowvale plant.\nAssist with the setup of preventative maintenance programs for new equipment.\nResolve quality concerns and support quick resolution of open issues within the engineering department.\nManage and implement customer-approved engineering changes, ensuring accurate part-level communications, physical updates, and process modifications\nCollaborate with production departments, customers, and vendors to design packaging solutions that optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.\nReview and coordinate custom packaging designs, including the build, approval process, and capital budgets.\nPrepare and maintain reports, charts, and other documentation for engineering projects.\nKeep plant layouts updated and support new business quoting processes by offering packaging recommendations and design concepts.\nControl CAD storage and manage the importing/exporting of CAD data.\nCreate and review GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications for parts and assemblies.\nOther Tasks:\nContinuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee’s Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles and MaFact in all aspects of position and interaction with others.\nEffective use of Magna Structures Meadowvale’s Escalation Process.\nCompliance to IATF customer requirements\nAttends all scheduled meetings and training.\nEnforces and complies with all Federal/Provincial Regulations including all internal safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Employee Handbook and related internal systems.\nUnderstands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.\nEnsure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.\nOther duties that may be assigned\nSkills and Competencies:\nMust have a positive attitude and be able to motivate others.\nMust have a great set of analytical skills that allow to solve problems in an efficient way.\nCan delegate and manage multiple projects at any given time.\nMust have good organizational skills to attend to multiple tasks simultaneously\nMust exhibit high integrity and honesty.\nAbility to prepare, read, write and interpret reports, instructions and procedures.\nAble to clearly and effectively respond to questions from management and customers.\nAbility to effectively and appropriately present information and respond to questions for various groups.\nDemonstrate a growth mindset.
