Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nWage Range: ~ 45.00/Hour\nEnsure that individual job target hours are met and identify opportunities to reduce overall hours\nEnsure all tasks are completed in a timely manner\nPerform repairs on equipment maintenance with attention to safety, quality, cost and timing\nPerform Preventative maintenance (PMs) on all equipment and machines \nKnowledgeable on the construction and practical application of the various machines and equipment in the CNC machining department and the overall shop\nMaintenance of general plant systems and equipment \nOperate crane, fork truck and high reach equipment\nStrong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and their operation\nAcquire information to assist with maintenance and repair process(es) to specifications from vendor supplied schematics, data, drawings and instructions with regards to hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical components and operation\n\nSafely manufacture, modify or repair of components that may be required on machinery or in the plant\n\nSafely operate manual saws, lathes and milling/drilling machines to manufacture, modify or repair components that may be required on machinery or in the plant\nRepair various types of pumps and related valves\nRemove and replace various types of bearings and seals\nRepair drive systems on machines such as ball screw, linear guide, belt or direct drive, etc, as well as screw and belt type conveyor systems\nWeld using oxy/acetylene, TIG and MIG\nRig and handle various sizes, shapes and weights of machinery and equipment\nEnsure all spares, equipment, tooling, etc. within the department under your control are managed\nInstruct both the theory and practical applications of the maintenance and repair processes and best practices to all members of the team respecting skill levels, with attention to safety, quality, cost and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)\nOperate and instruct on the Tycos Maintenance Database and Work Order system\nParticipate in the flow of information within the department\nInteract with Management, Team Leaders, Senior Machinists, etc.\nTravel may be required for training, technical benchmarking, etc.\nAvailable for telephone support and Call-In’s, as required\nSupport and interact with Service and Maintenance Specialists contracted to perform specific tasks on machines, equipment and the plant\nEducation:\nMinimum completion of Grade 12 diploma or equivalent\nCertificate of Qualification as Industrial Millwright #433A (Licensed)\nLicensed to work on high reach equipment\nExperience:\nCurrently registered as a Maintenance Millwright\nPrior mechanical work experience in automotive industry or CNC machine shop is required\nSkills:\nStrong ability to work independently\nStrong knowledge of general plant systems and equipment\nGood knowledge of industrial electronics\nUnderstand the information required to assist with maintenance and repair process(s) to specifications from vendor supplied schematics, data, drawings and instructions\nStrong knowledge of assembled components on machinery or in the plant\nStrong understanding of various types of bearings and seals\nStrong knowledge of lubricants, greases and oils, and their use and proper application\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nStrong ability to analyze situations and problem solve\nem solve\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
