Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nGeneral Job Duties:\nTo exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee’s Charter to maintain a positive and productive workplace.\nTo follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of Decostar employees as described in the employee handbook.\nTo demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.\nTo exhibit teamwork and leadership skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.\nTo demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.\nTo support all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.\nTo perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.\nAdhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of Decostar to provide for a safe and healthful workplace.\nSpecific Job Duties:\nParticipate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives (i.e. inventory accuracy, inventory turns, premium freight).\n Ensure accurate and timely material releases are sent to our suppliers.\n Purchase and order all recurring and non-recurring items to support Decostar as required by production and assembly departments.\nEstablish lead-time and min/max inventory requirements for on time ordering and delivery in a highly JIT environment.\n Coordinate production releases with component supplier per supplier agreements.\nAssist Leaders in reconciling variances and assist in the corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies.\nTrack and record data for Department KOI’s.\n Must be available for inventory counting whenever company deems necessary (i.e. weekends, holidays, annual physical inventory, etc.).\nMaintain, follow and update as required all processes assigned to you under the IATF system.\n Ensure Item Site Planning Records are maintained in the MRP system to ensure accuracy of materials process and to obtain a high confidence level of data accuracy. \n Review EDI releases from our customer to ensure accurate material demand is reflective in MRP for our Tier II suppliers.\n Review Bill of Materials to insure MRP reflects actual process, therefore providing correct inventory consumption levels.\nMonitor transportation for Tier 2 inbound logistics spend and ensure on-time delivery.\n Monitor timely receipt of in-coming purchased items for prompt inventory recognition and maintaining accuracy.\n Responsible for the managing the flow of material both in and out of Decostar on a JIT basis.\nManage customer relations from a delivery and material flow basis.\nParticipate in cross function teams to ensure successful program launches.\nAdjust material shipments as necessary to meet changing customer demands.\nStrive for continuous improvement of data and report generation with the objective of maintaining inventory accuracy.\nEnsure a spirit of respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and fair dealing in all our operations between our internal and external customers and suppliers.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nSkills and Experience:\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced work environment with scheduling or materials planning responsibility.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience with QAD (or similar ERP system) including materials management, inventory control, release management, supply chain management.\nMRP experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.\nStrong organizational skills along with computer expertise with Microsoft Office products.\nDemonstrated leadership ability and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
