Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market.\nJob Responsibilities:\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONS:\nEnsure supplier compliance with OEM requirements, customer-specific standards, and Drive Automotive supplier quality expectations.\nLead supplier quality planning and documentation for new launches, engineering changes, and process updates, including PPAP, ISIR, Control Plans, FMEAs, and engineering change activities.\nDrive supplier performance through audits, corrective actions, root cause analysis, supplier scorecards, and KPI management (PPM, incident rates, and quality metrics).\nPartner with manufacturing, quality, and cross-functional teams to resolve supplier quality concerns and minimize risk through continuous improvement and lessons learned initiatives.\nConduct supplier visits and audits to address quality issues, verify compliance, and ensure adherence to Drive Automotive requirements and standards.\nProvide technical leadership and independent decision-making to support quality objectives, communicate effectively with OEMs and suppliers, and drive operational excellence through ongoing development and hands-on problem solving.\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\nEDUCATION:\n4-year degree in Materials Engineering degrees, preferably Material Science / Metallurgy or related field\nWORK EXPERIENCE / TECHNICAL TRAINING:\nWorking knowledge of Metallurgical Techniques showing a competent understanding \nWorking knowledge of steel / aluminum making process\nDMAIC, 8D, Six Sigma or other problem-solving methodology\nStrong root cause analysis ability that is data driven giving clear and concise conclusions\nAble to read technical drawings and standards as it relates to the manufacturing process\nFamiliarity with the following Metallurgical equipment in a laboratory environmentMetallographic sample prep polishers and mounting equipment\nOptical microscopes, stereo scope, metallography machine\nTensile Tester\nHardness Testers\n\nWHY WORK HERE?\nHealth Insurance (includes telemedicine, FSA, HSA, and other benefits)\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\n401(k) with match\nEmployee Profit Sharing Plan\nEmployee Assistance Program\nTuition Reimbursement\nReferral Program - Up to $1,000 per hired referral\nOnsite cafeteria with multiple fresh-cooked options and salad bar, and fully stocked breakrooms throughout plant\nAnnual events (Summer cookout, Christmas party, etc.)\nOnsite Nurses' office\nOnsite Mother's room\nPay range: $65,000 - $85,000 annual salary\nVISA SPONSORSHIP NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION\n#LI-JC1 #LI-SF1 #LI-Onsite\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
