Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSpecific Job Duties\nHelps establish processes and procedures for their assigned work areas.\nAssists the Supervisor in the operation of the department, performing some supervisory tasks in the absence of the supervisor.\nAssist work area if additional manning is required to cover the work area.\nMaintains all hand tools and ensures that they stay in good working condition.\n Performs job specific training for employees in assigned areas.\nMaintains current knowledge of quality standards, customer requirements, and operating procedures for all jobs in their assigned areas.\nTroubleshoots process problems.\nImplement Engineering Changes for assigned areas.\nPerform audits to ensure procedures are being followed appropriately.\nCheck equipment and fill out Pre-shift Inspection Checklists.\nReviews and reports first hour production. Continue to review hour-by-hour performance and conduct problem solving as required.\nInspect quality of parts being produced to ensure they meet quality standards.\nReviews, summarizes and interprets statistical data.\nProvide forklift operator training to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.\n Manages the electronic order information, transferring data to PLC’s, updating the line build information, and monitoring hand scanner/printer operation.\nMaintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required.\nMaintains a clean and safe work area.\nParticipates in department meetings.\nCompletes documentation of activities as required.\nSubmits cost reduction and Innovation ideas.\nPerforms other tasks as assigned\nRequired: One year continuous work experience.\nPreferred:\nMust be able to have working knowledge of all the positions in the work area.\nMust have good problem-solving skills.\nMust have good computer skills.\nMust work well with others.
