Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:\nStrong attention to details.\nStrong computer skills\nHigh mechanical ability.\nGood working knowledge of machinery.\nPass confined spaces training course, material handler training course and LOTO course.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong record keeping ability and computer skills.\nMaintain an excellent safety record.\nHelp maintain machine capability, with material, components, and packaging.\nMonitor inventory levels and alert supervisor / manager of any shortages or excesses.\nStrong people and leadership skills.\nTrouble shoots auxiliary equipment & ability to perform general maintenance as needed (rack jams, chemical additions)\nDaily and end of month inventory team member or participation, here for all monthly and year end inventories.\nMust be willing to work flexible hours.\nAble to work overtime and weekends with little or no notice.\nROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:\nHandling drums with hazardous materials\nKeep records of all chemical changes\nMaintain coated part quality and process control.\nMeet production goals.\nMachine startups and shutdowns.\nTrouble shooting machine problems\nSetting up machines with all supplies needed to begin production.\nKeep machines and surrounding areas clean and neat\nOperate a hi-lo both stand up and sit down\nAssure all chemicals are at correct ratio and up to temp\nChange filters on tanks, i.e.- topcoat, primer and ultrasonic tanks\nMake sure daily and weekly inventories are being done.\nTake the lead on shift change walk through and sign off sheet, report any discrepancies to supervisor.\nMake sure incoming materials, packaging, and components are put away properly and in a timely manner.\nMonitor all production areas and ensure that correct materials, components, and packaging are being used along with properly being transferred and issued.\nInventory location. If any discrepancies are found, they must be reported to supervisor or shift supervisor.\nDrain and clean all tanks i.e.- Topcoat, primer and ultrasonics\nFill out safety observation for anything that is a safety concern.\nAssure housekeeping is being kept in accordance with LexaMar standard \nObtain and maintain confined space training/certification\nBe physically able to use a fitted respirator (no facial hair)\nClean machine thoroughly to rid of any possible contamination. \nEDUCATION REQUIRED:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nTechnical background.\nStrong computer skills\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
