Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nThe Product Engineer applies engineering principles and analytical techniques to the design and/or development of product concepts, components, or assemblies. The Product Engineer willbe responsible forprocess, material and product development targeted toward development and launch of new product programs for Magna Exteriors.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupport program management in product and process development including prototype tooling and builds.\n\nCreate & execute goals,timingand cost for project(s).\n\nCommunicate/coordinateprojects between program management, engineering, customer representatives and corporaterepresentative.\n\nAssistin material procurement and support for prototype build operations in coordination with divisional resources.\n\nIdentifiesdesign work and creates design specifications for a variety of complex product components to obtain operational, cost, quality, and/or manufacturing feasibility improvements.\n\nAnalyzes complex design problems and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and/or mathematical principles.\n\nConsults with personnel in various engineering activitiesrelativeto the design, drafting, and experimental construction of product components.\n\nProvides technical support and follow-up on Design/Product Validation activities.\n\nTravel as necessary to support Division and OEM launch activities or part development.\n\nProvides engineering direction and support to design personnel.\n\nResponsible for implementation of Customer Specific Requirement per OEM as required.
