Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nQUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO DO THE JOB:\nImmediate, open position\n1 year contract\n$90,000 - $125,000 annual compensation\nCompletion of university degree in engineering or a related field required\n3-5 years of related experience managing programs in a production/manufacturing environment required\nPrevious experience with GD&T required\nStrong moulding process knowledge (RIM, TPO, EPP) an asset\nKnowledge of tool construction is an asset\nAbility to read part drawings\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills required\nSelf-starter and willing to take on new challenges\nEffective organization skills and ability to manage a heavy workload\nProblem solving and decision-making skills to deal with issues as they arise\nNegotiation/persuasion skills\nAbility to handle difficult situations professionally\nRegular travel required. Valid passport and driver’s license required\nMAIN DUTIES:\nManages all aspects of program builds including cost, delivery, suppliers, customers, internal production and engineering changes\nConducts APQP activities including PDP & TraX, customer systems, internal documentation, maintaining PDP folders, gate reviews, CFTs, ECN system, and PPAP\nCoordinates communication regarding program information between departments\nAbility to meet/manage Program Budget (on average, $10, 000, 000)\nTroubleshoots customer assembly plant issues\nValidates designs through DV /PV testing, assembly trials and ergo studies\nParticipates in design decision making (feasibility, functionality, manufacturing ability)\nSupports quoting of new business and assists with defining process requirements\nCreates and presents quality and/or design issues and resolutions to customers\nManages build inventories with the production team\nOther duties as assigned\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
