Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Electronics.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPosition Overview\nAs a Warranty Quality Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to various projects related to quality assurance, warranty analysis, and understanding methodology used to find root causes. This internship will provide valuable learning experience in the field of quality, electrical, and software engineering within the manufacturing industry.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nPlease note, this role is hiring for a year-round internship. If interested, this role would report to the Holly location for a minimum of 12 months, with the opportunity for extension.\nCollaborate with the Warranty Quality Engineering team on various projects, such as receiving returned product, gauging repeatability and reproducibility, and standardized testing of returns.\nUtilize your technical skills to read schematics, wiring documentation, and communication lines to various device testing.\nSupport the team in conducting test studies to assess the root cause and ensure accurate data collection within the Warranty database.\nAssist in quality assurance activities, including audits and inspections, to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.\nWork with Warranty Quality on timely responses to customers for closing out warranty claims.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and develop appropriate countermeasures to mitigate quality issues during the production phase of returned product.\nQualifications:\nSome related experience preferred (not required)\nSome soldering experience preferred (not required)\nUnderstanding of basic software coding\nEducation/ Experience\nHigh School Diploma\nCurrently Attending a College or University, preferably pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field. \nSpecial Knowledge / Skills:\nProficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). \nProfessional Communication skills (written and verbal).\nKnowledge of Root Cause Analysis, preferred (not required).\nStrong technical skills, including proficiency in data management, and Pareto chart creation.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.\nPhysical Demands / Work Environment:\nNormal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.\nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
