As a global automotive supplier and full-system partner, Magna brings together expertise across Mechatronics and Mirror systems to deliver integrated solutions that support the evolution of vehicle architectures.\nJob Responsibilities:\nSalary Range: $60,000-$85,000\nSupport daily Fast Response meetings\nEnsure that the company conforms to all customer requirements related to part quality.\nEnsure that appropriate corrective action is in place where non-conforming part issue arise in house or at customer locations.\nContinually review and upgrade policies, standards and procedures for the division.\nProvide clear direction and leadership in the attainment and maintenance of the business system standards.\nProvide support for production requirements, overtime requirements, toolroom, R&D, new programs and\nprogram improvements.\nOversee the maintenance of the quarantine/containment areas to ensure a steady turnaround of material\nincluding timely disposition.\nWork with the Quality Manager to ensure prompt attention to all customer concerns.\nDevelop a Techform culture, which recognizes the role of customers as an integral part of the business,\ndeserving of respect and high quality service.\nAdhere to company policies and procedures;\nEnsure that safety & quality standards are communicated and enforced within the department.\nEnsure that training requirements for each departmental employee are identified and plans are in place to\nclose any gaps.\nInitiate, where required, employee counseling and disciplinary action;\nPerform a minimum of one yearly performance evaluation for each departmental employee;\nMaintain housekeeping standards within the department;\nEnsure the fair administration of all company policies including wage and benefit packages;\nMaintain communication and utilize the expertise of other departments including engineering, tool room,\nquality control, accounting, human resources and IT;\nEnsure the efficient execution of responsibilities as outlined in the job descriptions for each position within the department\nGeneral Points\nEnsure that all environmental requirements are identified and addressed when performing duties.\nEnsure that all safety requirements are being carried out when performing duties.\nComply with defined Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements.\nProvide support for the continuous improvement initiatives within Techform.\nProvide support in the attainment of Techform's operating system goals as outlined by the KPI’s.\nCarry out all duties focusing on the goal of internal and external customer satisfaction.\nOther duties as may be assigned by the supervisor or designate.\nQualifications\nA post secondary education in an engineering or related field is preferred and/or certified quality background;\nSuperior organizational skills are required;\nSuperior written and verbal communication skills are required;\nA thorough knowledge of generally accepted quality control procedures is required;\nPrefer a minimum of five years of progressive experience in a quality/quality engineering role\nSite Benefits:\nA great work experience with a diverse and dedicated workforce \nA strong focus on safety and health and wellness (fitness membership discounts) \nFive and a half (5.5.) paid personal days \nCompetitive extended health benefits \nGroup RRSP matching program \nProfit Sharing Plan \nTeam appreciation lunches and events \nEducation Reimbursement Program \nContinuous Improvement and Development Culture \nAwareness, Unity, Empowerment:\nAt Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
