Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.\nGroup Summary:\nThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.\nRecognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.\nJob Responsibilities:\nPOSITION SUMMARY:\nThe Senior General Accountant supports the Accounting Department by ensuring the accurate and timely execution of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, journal entries, and financial reporting activities.\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrepare standard monthly journal entries\nPrepare wire transfer requests for foreign currency vendor payments and record the related journal entries\nPerform monthly intercompany reconciliations and collaborate with divisions to resolve out-of-balance items and ensure intercompany accounts are reconciled.\nPrepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations\nRecord corporate invoices, including Corporate IT expenses and MSA charges\nAssist in the preparation of annual audit and tax packages, including the year-end CMF (Controller Model File).\nPrepare Concur reimbursement reports for Payroll, support employee onboarding in Concur, and record related expense report journal entries\nPrepare and file annual Form 1099s\nPrepare Intercompany invoices for recurring third party charges\nPrepare monthly manpower reports for contract and direct employees\nProvide support for employee expense report inquiries and serve as a backup for expense report processing\nApply cash receipts and post deposits to the Accounts Receivable module\nReview and create purchase orders through the ReQlogic system\nPerform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and the requirements for the performance of this position.
